it's #FPL gameweek 10/38. GW9 pts: 65 rank: ⬆️ 174k (prev 228k) FTs: 2 strong week. benched a Konsa 10-pointer but i have no regrets hedging against 3x defense vs. Liverpool. no big drama this GW, so i'm rolling into the int'l break. Muharemovic good cover if Konsa misses out.

it's #FPL gameweek 8/38. GW7 pts: 65 rank: ⬇️ 269k (prev 177k) FTs: 3 the slide continues. 5 goals for Brighton yet no De Cuyper involvement. DCL gets 9, Barry gets 2. Raya gets 9, Saka gets 3 + hurts himself. two moves then: Saka, Kinsky➡️Mbeumo, Raya. trusting the data.

it's #FPL gameweek 7/38. GW6 pts: 71 rank: ⬇️ 177k (prev 170k) FTs: 4 Pascal Gross didn't get a 15-pointer for once... but Maxim De Cuyper did. these two have murdered my rank for 6 weeks now, so i'm giving in. Gibbs-White (injured) + Vuskovic > Gross + De Cuyper. (1/3)

i hate these moves. all underlying data suggests Gross + De Cuyper have been lucky — not to have scored, but to have scored *this much*. the two fixtures after this week are horrid, and they now play 2x a week. Gross is 35 and runs a ton. MDC is a long-term mins risk. (2/3) #FPL

i know neither will keep it up, and they're *so* highly owned that they carry no effective upside. but their selection % means anything they do can destroy my week, so i have to join the cattle to block them off. short-sighted, spineless, but the rational play for now. (3/3) #FPL

it's #FPL gameweek 6/38 GW5 pts: 38 rank: ⬇️ 170k (prev 44k) FTs: 3 the good start finally died. was due. yet i see no huge issues with this team. so, rolling. no obvious captain so backing MGW in a strong positional matchup. Pascal Gross can't keep getting 15-pointers, right?

it's #FPL gameweek 5/38. GW4 pts: 89 rank: ⬆️ 44k (prev 52k) FTs: 3 10/11 returns for the 2nd time in 4 GWs, but only a small green. still lucky, just missing the big hauls. Szobo > MGW for GW5. went early to avoid being priced out, but wouldn't have sold injured Pedro anyway.

attacking the fixtures. no Bruno stings, but Palmer + Saka has huge upside. Sangare out after mins concerns. 2x Arsenal + ceiling/DEFCON guys at the back. Rogers + Barry likely short-term plays, but £0.9m + 3 transfers saved leaves room to pivot. this feels right tbh. (2/2) #FPL

it's #FPL gameweek 2 / 38. had my best ever start in GW1. 86 pts on the bench boost. up to 31k rank out of 9.8 million. no changes for GW2. rolling the transfer. only dilemma is Rodon vs. Ajer. close call, but taking the guy playing at home. Haaland captain, not getting fancy.

it's once again time to renew my quixotic quest to finish in the top 10k players of Fantasy Premier League. it's year 13 for me. last season i finished just outside the top 1% of the total player base at 149k. best finish: 22k. career avg: 2.4%. we go again. #FPL

so a solid B/B- tournament then. no regression, no serious progress. beat up on mid-to-bad teams, completely outclassed the second they played someone decent. that's how we usually do it. poch is gone so it'll probably be tough to go further in 2030, but maybe we catch a break.

the media narrative for the normies is going to be "what a fun ride that was" (and it was) or "they just had an off night" but we really should demand more. it's fine to be nice but no point in making excuses, so much money has been spent settling for perennial mid-ness.
