Nick Saban shares an universal truth about resilience and overcoming adversity.
"You gotta have resiliency. You gotta be able to overcome adversity."
"There can be no great victories in life unless you can overcome adversity."
"You gotta be able to overcome it."
The problem? Too many people come up without experiencing difficult circumstances. They've never had it tough. So when adversity hits, they don't know how to respond.
"You're not gonna be the best player on your team when you go in. You gotta stay focused on the process of what you need to do to become that."
That's the gap. Talent gets you in the door, resilience keeps you there.
Focus on what you can control and focus on getting better

They NEED to train on and around gamedays.
When they do train, they should actually train with intensity. Too many wasted inputs skipping or dogging sessions.

Your training should be simple.
It should be straight forward.
It should be repeated very often.
This is the stuff people don’t talk about. This is what makes Training actually successful!

Athletes will repeatedly choose physical busy work when left to their own devices, precisely because mindless activity is easy. It's so easy it offers no challenge to discipline, skill, capacity, toughness, strength, or speed. It pays no dividend, but it costs time and fatigue.
