I am not surprised. This is not a big deal to librarians in SoCal, but why are we normalizing this? And who is the public library for? This is the reason why it's so hard to encourage regular folks to visit the library. Because instead of being a wonderful place for everyone to enjoy, only the homeless, mentally ill are welcome here. Libraries do not turn away anyone making everyone else feel unsafe.
