We held our meeting on “Navigating Geopolitical Change: Trade,
Investment and Dispute Resolution in the OIC Region" as part of OIC Arbitration Week, with participation of @OIC_AC_Official Secretary-General @UmarOseni, OIC Arbitration Centre Board Member @askonuk, Founding and Managing Partner of Sarıibrahimoğlu Law Office Dr. Yavuz Selim Sarıibrahimoğlu and representatives from the legal and business communities.
We discussed the importance of legal predictability, trust, and effective dispute resolution mechanisms in international trade and investment.
Strengthening economic cooperation among OIC countries through joint investments, production, technology, and new trade corridors remains among our priorities.
As @deikiletisim, we will continue to support trust-based and sustainable economic partnerships through our cooperation with the OIC Arbitration Centre.

DEİK/Türkiye–Europe Business Councils, under the leadership of Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, hosted Jovanka Porsche, Founder and President of @Global_Neighbrs, and her accompanying delegation during the Istanbul stop of “Tracks to the Future”, a think-tank platform promoting international dialogue and the exchange of ideas on a journey from Germany to China.
The programme included:
🔹 A sightseeing tour of Istanbul with the delegation,
🔹 A luncheon hosted by Fettah Tamince, Chairperson of the DEİK/Türkiye–France Business Council,
🔹 A roundtable discussion entitled “Türkiye and the EU: Renewing the Partnership in a Changing World”, with the participation of @memetsimsek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye.
The discussions focused on:
📍 Türkiye’s strategic geopolitical position and its role in global trade and energy corridors,
📍 Business-led initiatives aimed at advancing Türkiye’s goal of full EU membership,
📍 Türkiye–EU relations and transport and connectivity projects linking Asia and Europe, particularly the Middle Corridor,
📍 Trade and investment opportunities offered by Türkiye.

We held Türkiye-Slovakia Roundtable Meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Slovak Deputy PM and Economy Minister Denisa Saková, Dep. Min. Mustafa Tuzcu, DEİK/Türkiye-Slovakia Business Council Chair Harika Güral, SARIO Director General Egon Zorád and business representatives.
We discussed how to advance our strong cooperation in automotive, machinery, iron and steel, infrastructure, and contracting through opportunities in green transformation, digitalization, and new mobility.
Slovakia’s engineering and industrial expertise, combined with Türkiye’s production capacity, strong supply chains, and strategic location, offers significant opportunities for joint projects in third countries as well.
I believe our meeting will help establish new partnerships and turn discussions into tangible investments, and I look forward to its fruitful outcomes.

Otomotiv, makine, demir-çelik, altyapı ve müteahhitlik sektörlerindeki güçlü iş birliğimizi; yeşil dönüşüm, dijitalleşme ve yeni mobilite alanlarındaki fırsatlarla ileriye taşıma imkânlarını ele aldık.
Slovakya’nın mühendislik ve sanayi tecrübesiyle Türkiye’nin üretim kapasitesi, güçlü tedarik zinciri ve stratejik konumunun, üçüncü ülkelerde de ortak projeler için önemli fırsatlar sunuyor.
Toplantımızın; yeni iş birlikleri kurulmasına ve görüşmelerin somut yatırımlara dönüşmesine katkı sunacağına inanıyor, verimli çıktıları olmasını diliyorum.

We held Türkiye-Canada Energy Strategic Dialogue meeting with Türkiye’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Dr. Alparslan Bayraktar, Canada’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson, Deputy Minister Berat Çonkar, DEİK/Türkiye-Canada Business Council Chair Mehmet Yılmaz, and business representatives.
We discussed cooperation opportunities in nuclear energy, renewable energy, critical minerals, and technology.
I believe that advancing our FTA negotiations with input from the business community, along with the MoU signed between Türk Eximbank and Export Development Canada, will create new opportunities for investment.

Ülkelerimiz arasındaki Serbest Ticaret Anlaşması müzakerelerinin iş dünyasının katkısıyla ilerlemesinin, Türk Eximbank ile Export Development Canada arasında imzalanan iş birliği anlaşmasının yeni yatırımlara imkânlar sunacağına inanıyorum.
Enerjide uzun vadeli ortaklıkların temelinde güven, öngörülebilirlik ve güçlü iş birliği bulunuyor. DEİK olarak, ticari diplomasi faaliyetlerimizle Türkiye ve Kanada arasındaki ticaret ve yatırım ilişkilerini geliştirmeye devam edeceğiz.

We held the Türkiye-UK Clean Energy and Sustainable Finance Conference with Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Deputy Minister Berat Çonkar, UK Trade Envoy to Türkiye Daniel Zeichner, UK Consul General and Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia David Reed MBE, DEİK/Türkiye-UK Business Council Chair Murathan Kalyoncu and business representatives.
During the conference, we discussed Türkiye-UK economic relations with a focus on clean energy and sustainable finance, exploring investment opportunities in renewable energy, energy storage and hydrogen, sustainable financing models, and the potential for Turkish-British cooperation in third countries.
As COP31 approaches, we believe that long-term investments required for the energy transition depend not only on capital, but also on trust, predictability, and strong partnerships.
