Elon just said that most neoclouds will eventually die.
And we might already be seeing it play out.
Even if AI is the biggest tech revolution of our lifetime, that doesn't mean every company building AI infrastructure will survive.
Some will thrive. Many will struggle. Most will be liquidated.
And we've seen this before during the internet boom.
The internet changed the world, but plenty of companies that built the infrastructure went bankrupt along the way.
This time won't be different.
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
Promise I’ll be back on X soon a lot’s been going on lately 😁
I’ve started creating some cool things, which I’d love to share

I’m open for Product Design or Design Engineer projects this autumn.
This is a rare opportunity to hire me to design and build 0-1 products including AI-native MVPs, specifically: web apps (React.js/Node.js), desktop apps (Electron.js), or to focus solely on product design.
I have strong product intuition and design taste. With a decade of experience in product design and over 15 digital products, I've worked across a wide range of environments and teams, delivering products users love!
In the past 4 years, I’ve designed, built and launched successful products on my own:
✦ @KerligAI - an AI chat with agentic mode for macOS, Product of the Day on Product Hunt
✦ @LocalCanApp - a developer tool and infrastructure (Ngrok alternative) which crossed $100k revenue
✦ Webhook.Cool - top 3 webhook testers in Google search
✦ @Journal_do - a journal app for macOS with 2k users
Areas where I have the most expertise include AI, developer tools, payments, automation, and canvas-based apps.
If you have a project that could benefit from my skills and experience, I'd love to hear from you.
In the meantime check out my showreel and website: www.jarekceborski.com and dribbble.com/Jarson

Some personal news
Going forward, I’m shifting my content from posting standalone design screens to documenting my journey as an indie builder.
Product designers have a massive edge today - we have the eye for detail and the tools to ship fast.
Over the last 6 months, I’ve spent more time building than designing, and a few under-the-radar products are already generating solid revenue.
Honestly, a career in design was just step one. I can’t see myself running a massive agency in the long run, trapped in endless meetings and tied to client demands.
I currently work with 4 great clients, and that’s more than enough. It gives me the financial freedom to shift my focus toward building and monetizing my own products from scratch.
Design pays the bills for now, but building my own products is the long game. I want to document this journey, share real monetization numbers, and connect with people building real stuff.
I also want to build a real community here on X, beyond just giving each other high-fives over pretty pixels.
I'll still share designs, but expect a lot more transparent content on product development, growth, and monetization.
The ultimate goal? Complete independence, an empty calendar, and uninstalling Slack for good.
Cheers,
Dawid

Sometimes things are really unexpected
A while back, a client reached out to me after seeing this video somewhere.
It’s a financial product, and they needed help creating and prototyping the behavior of charts in their web app.
It seemed like a small thing at first, but it turned out there were a lot of areas in their product that needed improvement, so we’ve been working on some really cool stuff for the past six months up to today
You never know who might see your work - so keep posting.
