one to two clients I can pour my heart into is the dream. I don't wanna juggle between 5 clients, instead have one or two I can pour my passion in.
If that sounds like a good fit to you hmu

nobody shares a referral link because it's a link
coduck's founder wanted referrals to feel special, not like a coupon code
so I designed a membership card in blue brushed steel
people share things they're proud to have
denizzone.com is such a shitty domain bro just spent 10$ for nothing 😭😭
your users don't speak your codebase
on coduck (an ai app builder) a nontechnical tester got confused seeing two versions of her own website. the labels said "worktree" and "production"
so in the redesign I:
- renamed them to "workspace" and "live"
- made settings, domains and data visible right away, instead of hidden behind the chat
- split one messy "cloud" menu into 4 clear settings sections
- added search and a command palette
if your users need a dev to explain your ui, the ui is the problem
building an ai product that grew faster than its ui?

I saved 35% of my income for taxes, not realizing how the tax-free threshold works and just realized 100% of that hoarded cash is actually mine
the times of figma-only design are over
if your designer doesn't hand you a branch in your own codebase, who are you even hiring?
a lot of designers run into this, here's what works for me:
nobody books an intro call to see more of your portfolio
they already saw it. they came inbound for a reason
they book to feel understood and to find out if you can fix their problem
so on every call I:
- ask questions before showing anything
- repeat their problem back until they nod
- show 1-2 projects that solved the same thing
- end with a clear next step
the call isn't a pitch, it's proof you understand them
Replying to @sofianedesign
The thing is, whenever I take calls with inbound clients, they end up ghosting me and working with someone else, usually an agency. This has happened 2 or 3 times.
Even though I present them with my best work, my whole process and strategy, and even the next steps.
I don't know if the issue is my low pricing compared to agencies, or a question of trust.
did scalerail's brand first. then the founder came back for rrepo, their R package manager
"I came in without a strong idea of what I wanted" -adam
at the end two Rs became one swan. and the guidelines aren't a pdf, they're a dashboard with a download button for every lockup
brand essentials from $2k → deniz.studio
5 signs your landing page was vibe-coded:
1. lucide icons everywhere
2. shadcn default grays, zero brand color
3. inter at every size
4. the same gradient hero as 400 other startups
5. no detail anyone would remember
notra's old v0 template didn't even have those problems. it was just generic and hard to build on
so I gave it a hero made of the actual product and one detail carried through the whole page. before -> after 👇

yesterday's coduck before -> after looks done. it wasn't
after the design was done I asked for pr access and reviewed the build:
- a navbar off by a few px
- a missing hover state
- animations that never made it into the code
small things, easy to miss, and exactly what separates a product that looks polished from one that feels it
I design and code, so nothing gets lost in handoff → deniz.studio
