The behaviour of 4 MPs, Lucas in the House of Lords and one deputy leader during the by-election and since has been sabotage pure and simple. @ZackPolanski wants to give them a chance to accept their mistakes. So do I. But if they won't they can't be allowed to destroy the left.
Tom Delargy #WorkersUnited@derekrootboyOct 10
It's obvious @ZackPolanski doesn't want @TheGreenParty to split. Nor do I. But I think up to 4 MPs are intent on splitting. Before joining Andy Burnham's cabinet they'll try to wreck their party on the way out. Can this be stopped? In theory it can. #UniteTheLeft #BackZack

Although this is indeed a spectacular result, that measly log-factor doesn't make much difference in practice: for n=1000, it replaces 2^1000 by 2^380, which is still way more than the number of atoms in our universe, meaning that a universe-sized computer may be unable to solve such a problem even if if we gave it billions of years:

操他妈的，OpenAI正式宣布，ETH被证伪了。 整个计算机领域的天塌了，我他妈整个人震惊了整整5分钟。 这他妈的，这种心情和情绪，不知道他妈怎么形容，就是觉得他妈的，一个巨大的震惊，我可操他妈的。 OpenAI这群闲人没白养，这个贡献妥妥他妈的值半个图灵奖（含金量约等于10个诺贝尔奖）了。

Cells adhering to micro-curved surfaces can exhibit either complete adhesion or partial interior detachment. This is now found to be determined by the balance between the cell contractile stress and the cell–substrate adhesion stress. nature.com/articles/s41567-0…

Radio waves drive a fusion plasma current that could help reactors run continuously

For the first time, a team of physicists in the U.S. has clearly demonstrated a "helicon current drive" in a nuclear fusion experiment. Led by Jeff Lestz at General Atomics, San Diego, the team took...

Earth’s magnetic field does more than point compasses north. It deflects much of the charged particle stream constantly flowing from the Sun, helping protect our atmosphere and the technology orbiting above us. If it vanished, the atmosphere wouldn’t disappear overnight. Its gradual loss would depend on many factors, including solar activity and Earth’s gravity. The real lesson is that this invisible field helps protect our planet, but it isn’t the only thing keeping Earth habitable.

This chair was meant for my mom, but Misho decided it now belongs to him! 😂🤍 The funny thing is, my mom didn’t even try to move him; she just let him sit there, perfectly at ease. Sometimes I feel like Misho is the most spoiled member of our family.🥹❤️

If @SamCoatesSky is leaving the studio I'm switching over to #C4News.

After what Liz Truss has just said and what her ex chancellor said about that, I doubt they'll be in touch via text or anything else ever again. @cathynewman @SamCoatesSky

I've no idea why Eddie Mair retired. I hope it's not health related. But if he's still healthy I really wish he'd return as a broadcaster in radio or television. He's still young and as sharp as ever. And much better than almost any broadcaster we have today or even deserve.
Tom Delargy #WorkersUnited@derekrootboy58m
Many broadcasters I've praised in the past have vanished from the airwaves. That's not why most went AWOL. Many are dead. Some retired and probably not all against their will. Dozens of great journalists stopped being great. Looks like they've taken bribes. Where's Eddie Mair?

There aren't many broadcasters who get praise from me. That's usually because not that many earn it, imho. But I do like praising those who do good work. And there is more than just @SamCoatesSky @SamiraAhmedUK and @AlexCrawfordSky. One reason I don't heap praise? #KissOfDeath???

I'm recording the @cathynewman for one reason. And it's not the presenter who is Fortescue today. And it's for none of her guests. I want to hear what @SamCoatesSky has to say and will listen to him with interest. The others? Not so much. Btw, #BackZack
