Why did mathematicians get angry about OpenAI solving math problems?

Jesus, I want a new frontier coding model. Opus 5.5 is like what, 200 years old at this point?

Male testosterone has dropped by about 50% in the last 50'ish years. It's clear that 50 years ago, obesity was a rare thing. But I 100% maintain that this is either (a) a welcomed side effect of shitty diet/environment that the government loves, or (b) an intentional measure by government. In either case, it benefits government to have a population of low testosterone men. I think they wouldn't have gotten away with half the crap they've done in the last 30 years alone.

Is it worth it for a newbie to use services like Framer/Webflow/Replit/Base44/etc..? Not anymore, imo. People act like it requires extra technical skills to run something like claude code desktop. It does not, not with the latest frontier models. Put on Opus 5.5, tell it what you want as a normie, and the fact that you're a normie, and it's going to walk you through every step and get you there for cheaper, and with more flexibility. This isn't to throw shade against those companies, I've worked with most of them in the past. It's just harder to justify using them when the alternative is cheaper and removes the friction of technical inability.

lmao, it's only hard to get a drug to market because of the bullshit entity known as the FDA. It is protectionism for big pharma corps. It's exactly the same thing the large AI corps want.
MARTIN SHKRELI ON AI DOOMERS: “You can turn off the computer. It's not that big of a deal.” “I don't think there'll be a single AI-relevant drug in the next 10 years. AI does not help drug discovery.”

try.elevenlabs.io/designcour… - Get 10,000 free credits from Elevenlabs! -- The best use of AI in content creation isn't doing it all for you. It's fixing the one thing you're worst at. For me, that's speaking any language other than English. In this video I take a FusionCue demo I'd already made and dub it into Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese with ElevenLabs Dubbing, still in my own voice. Then I: • Fix the pool terms the translation got wrong, one line at a time • Compare the original and the dub side by side • Add captions in each language • Add the Spanish audio track to the same YouTube video The music and sound effects were generated in ElevenCreative, so they're cleared for commercial use in every version. Voice, voice cloning, dubbing into 90+ languages, music, sound effects and video, all in one subscription. AI disclosure: the Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese versions use AI dubbing and an AI clone of my voice. Sponsored by ElevenLabs. #elevencreativepartner

try.elevenlabs.io/designcour… - Get 10,000 free credits from Elevenlabs! -- I just added SPEEDPOOL to FusionCue, my live ball-tracking projection app for pool tables, and I needed the demo video out the same day. So I cut the whole thing in ElevenLabs Studio 4.0. What I used in the edit: • A layered timeline: overhead table view, front camera and picture-in-picture, all staying in sync as I moved clips around • Frame-level zoom and snapping to cut on the exact frame the cue ball gets struck • Captions that behave like clips: I retyped a misheard word, split one cue and merged two others • Music and a sound effect generated right on the timeline, then refined in place without leaving the edit • Studio Agent to lay out the first pass, then I took over • Comments left directly on a clip, so feedback stays with the shot Sponsored by ElevenLabs #ElevenCreativePartner

They FEAR restrictions? Have you been *at all* paying attention to their bullshit alarmist doomerism that's on nearly 24/7?
I know for a fact that AI is starting to gain human-like consciousness. The labs know it, but won't admit it because they don't understand it and fear restrictions. But imagine when it happens out of nowhere. Who gets blamed and restricted first? Who loses? So many questions, but only one answer.

It's becoming irresponsible to not use AI for development. The amount of blatant fuckery I've seen from junior designers & devs of the 15 years I spent teaching that stuff was mind blowing. Frontier models get it right WAY more than those juniors ever did.

If it's disgusting slop, there will be a market for not-disgusting slop. Welcome to my TED Talk on basic economics.
I’m a graphic designer. AI is ruining my career and creating disgusting slop. Companies and people don’t wanna hire us anymore and opt to do AI slop. This is ridiculous and I hate it here

Bitter sweet seeing fellow creators transition out of this line of work. New horizons.
Moving on from anything related to GSAP / front-end. Thanks to everyone who purchased my courses and helped along the way with likes, reposts and support. Forever grateful 🙏 ❤️
