I decided to give PICARD season 2 another chance after several years and good lord it's hard to overstate how truly awful it is. Elder abuse of Patrick Stewart.
Paramount+ employee 1: We need a thumbnail for Star Trek VI
Paramount+ employee 2: I found the best one right here here it is!
I am re-watching Star Trek: Deep Space 9 for the first time since the original broadcast. I have been enjoying the pilot!
When this aired ST Next Generation was in full swing and to be honest, a competition for my attention. This is a way better pilot than Encounter at Farpoint. I remember thinking at the time that it was boring. Actually it’s beginning all of the series-long plot threads.
😆 😆 😆
🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on President Obama mocking the Cheesecake Factory:
“This is the man who built the museum and it looks like Darth Vader’s tomb.”
Bessent also told @FoxBusiness' @FBNNicoleMac he frequents the Cheesecake Factory and always orders the French dip cheeseburger — and suggested the “Martha’s Vineyard set” should “give it a try.”

Elon didn't care until Ukraine started putting real points on the board. Now he and everyone in the Trump admin are trying to get Ukrainians slaughtered to pressure Zelensky into surrendering to Russia. Elon isn't an idiot, It's a cynical calculation.
This is such bullshit.
For how many months or years did Ukraine use Starlink for drone strikes, which themselves are part of its DEFENSE of an invasion of Ukraine that was initiated by Putin, not by Ukraine.
Why is it "immoral" for Ukraine to use Starlink for drone strikes against the invaders (mostly military and industry targets), but not immoral to deny Starlink in defense of Putin’s missile strikes against civilians and mostly civilian targets?
Elon might be a brilliant engineer, but his general reasoning skills outside of his fields are worse than that of the average 8 year old.
I asked Grok to show me my first 25 posts/tweets here. After like five minutes cogitating, I am presented with these echoes from the 2010 online world:
Mar 16, 2010 - "A miles long crowd has gathered starting at the Paramount to see the premiere of Macgruber. Macgruber??? What are we coming to? #SXSW
Mar 16, 2010 - "I had to decompress today from SXSW Interactive. Already feeling better. Working out for the first time in a week is now in order!"
Mar 18, 2010 - "Wearing green. — at Charlie's gowal.la/s/qPM"
Mar 24, 2010 - "Gilberto Gil in Concert! — at Will C. Hogg Memorial Auditorium gowal.la/s/As8"
Mar 26, 2010 - "@feastoffun Patricia Neal needed lots of Anacin after getting dragged around by Gort."
Mar 28, 2010 - "farewell to Firefox. Hello Google Chrome. It imported my bookmarks and passwords easy schmeezy #fb"
Mar 31, 2010 - "It is time. Put more debris into the tubes...including the body of the centurion... #fb"
(Notice that I am quoting Star Trek in my first set of tweets, and checking at the late Austin gay bar Charlie's. Lots of check-ins.)
Introducing a friend to a great Chinese place here in Dallas called Royal China. Started with the scallion pancakes. And nice pot of tea!
Hey y'all! Remember the days when hanging out on Twitter was fun?

Admittedly, a lot of us weren't even alive during this in the '70s, but this is funnier than anything on TV now!
Bonding over ‘dump dinners’.
Some parents are ditching plates and silverware for a “dump dinner,” pouring the meal straight onto a foil-covered table and letting the kids dig in. For these families, it’s less about manners and more about making memories.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The "dump dinner" is a viral social media trend of staged videos primarily for engagement, not a common family practice. Children in videos often react with alarm rather than requesting it.
