The pandemic will end. Current cases/deaths spike is the result of naive immune systems meeting SARS-CoV-2. Once enough # of people have gained immunity through vaccination or infection, virus will be endemic. It won’t be eliminated, but it won’t be as devastating as it is now.

Less than 0.001% of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 experienced a breakthrough case resulting in death, based on CDC data.
The Spanish Flu pandemic paved the way to the Roaring 20s: great advances in music, literature and art. Though brief, the pandemic ushered in a new era of prosperity, social mobility, and change. I believe something like this will happen after we recover from COVID-19.
BREAKING: The Philippine’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted by 9.5% in 2020, worse than the 7% in 1984. This is now the steepest post-war slump in Philippine history using available data dating back to 1947.

Good news, but let's NOT SQUANDER this opportunity. The novel virus has limited genetic diversity, prob bec it may have just one source, but also bec it's new. Keep the pressure on the virus. Let's not give it a home to diversify and evolve... nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NE…

I thought this is the year I’ll achieve all my goals and dreams. Instead, 2020 taught me to appreciate everything I have, most especially my loving family. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, everyone! Let’s thank God for the lesson in humility.
