Ch. 3 shows a method of adding an FM/Ringmod sound to the transient (I think they’re doing this in the track you linked)
In serum, in Osc 1 or 2, make a sine kick, and use Osc 3 as a mod source. Route one of the envelopes to that mod depth, and tada!

This is on an Elektron Syntakt, but I’ve applied the ‘high-pass filter + resonance + keytracking’ (in Chapter 1 of the video) to most of my kicks now. Helps with the ‘whomp’! Also, experiment with a quick downwards envelope (with a low depth) on the HPF
