Deeply shocked at the heinous attack at a Church in Karak, Jordan yesterday, which resulted in the tragic loss of several innocent lives and injuries to many others. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wish a swift recovery to those injured. India stands firmly with the Government and the friendly people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in this difficult hour. We also reaffirm our strong commitment to the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. @AymanHsafadi

A good discussion today on ‘The Continental Corridors: Who Connects the Heartland?’ at @raisinadialogue Middle East. Made the following points: ✅ Competition has intensified, new chokepoints have emerged, and the willingness to leverage advantages has grown. ✅ Globalisation cannot be reversed, but it must be navigated with greater resilience. ✅ IMEC is already shaping regional thinking on connectivity. ✅ As the global landscape evolves, India is building its own strengths and establishing trusted partnerships.

Chaired today in Addis Ababa a conference of our Heads of Mission in Africa. India and Africa share deep linkages built upon Global South solidarity, strategic autonomy, multipolarity and common development aspirations. We held in depth discussions on taking forward our partnership across trade, investments, connectivity, development partnership, and capacity building.
