🚨 New Episode Monday 🚨
“Uganda doesn’t suffer from a poverty problem… it suffers from a common sense problem.” — David Mpanga (@dfkm1970)
On The Long Form this Monday, I sit down with David, one of Uganda’s sharpest legal minds and author of The Politics of Common Sense.
We talk:
🔹 Why traffic jams, corruption & instability are symptoms, not the disease
🔹 Uganda 2026: can it produce ‘common-sense leadership’?
🔹 Buganda vs the modern state — can they coexist?
🔹 Why African societies keep repeating the same mistakes
🔹 How Rwanda and Uganda see “leadership” differently
🔹 And whether exile could return to his family story
Fearless. Uncomfortable. Necessary.
📲 Out Monday, 6AM on audio, 6PM on YouTube.

There's a little known unit in the bowels of @mofpedU that produces excellent reports. One can either have hope or abandon all pretense pertaining to the construct called Uganda, after reading one.
The BMAU (Budget Monitoring and Accountability Unit). Its latest report is 340 pages long.
They produced it with the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit.
A government produced report that reads like that, quickly sobers you up.
Let's delve into some details.
