6/Final hypothesis: The "typical" American Protestant attends a congregationalist church in polity, is Wesleyan-Arminian in theology, & is Charismatic in terms of worship & spiritual gifts. In this sense, @matthewschmitz is correct re strongest currents.

If you're going to publicly question a public figure's sexuality, especially someone who's passed, you better have solid evidence as a basis for it. CT didn't. Then, publishing, removing and republishing. 🤦🏻♀️ This certainly does not inspire trust in either the new or old guard.

Theologians like Watson are important as reminder that Methodism is more than John Wesley & is an ongoing tradition. Calvinists know their tradition. Wesleyans do not.

I don’t want to hear about how good any running back today is until he bulldozes an All-Pro linebacker like he’s a third-grader and then leaves the field without his jersey because the defense had to rip it off his back just to slow him down.
I’m sitting on an @AmericanAir flight. Lots of people have tight connections. Door closed. Getting ready to pull away. Then a passenger decided she wanted off because she wasn’t going to make her connection. So they delayed departure, reopened the door, and let her off. Then they had to ask if anyone else wanted off. I had no idea this was a thing. Proposed new policy: once the door is closed, you’re on the flight.
