The biggest takeaway from the ZCG debate is that most people who want ZCG either don’t understand principal agent problems, or they don’t care about violating them.
Zcash doesn’t need to re-invent the governance wheel. Stakeholder voting has worked in capital markets for centuries. Coinholder voting is just the onchain form-factor.
Experimenting in governance is not part of the Zcash mission. Its mission is privacy.
It’s time to end ZCG and all the distractions and misalignment that come with it.

A regret of mine is not being old enough at Bitcoin’s inception in 2009 (I was 9) to be a proponent in the biggest revolution in money for 6,000 years since Gold became adopted as a SOV in ancient Egypt.
I will seize that opportunity with @Zcash
Zcash is the greatest revolution in money since Bitcoin. We live in an increasingly surveilled world uncovered by advancing frontier models probabilistically determining who you are, where you are and how much you own.
Public blockchains, by nature of broadcasting transactions to the network, have been inherently flawed since their inception. Our own, Satoshi, recognised this and hypothesised an encrypted future.
We are in the throes of the greatest monetary revolution in history, with digitally hard encrypted money replacing surveilled fiat money in an ever-Orwellian world.
Privacy is a fundamental human right, and artificial intelligence is jolting human intelligence into realising it.

In the dying breaths of this cycle it doesn't so much matter what $ZEC goes to in $USD terms from here; enough good work has already been done there. It does matter, however, at the next bottom where $ZECBTC & $ZECUSD consolidates. Over the last couple months, the work it's done in $ZECBTC terms is most notable to me.
Put another way, this late cycle price action from $ZEC is not all that unique in $USD terms, but it is unique in $BTC terms. At the same time, you have to always respect that, for now, $BTC sets the entire mood of the cryptoasset market on a medium-to-long term time frame. You can escape $BTC's mood-setting for a time, but likely not for long.
