Watch the “HAUL” Prologue Now.
For those who’ve been following along, I’ve been developing the world of Haul on and off for nearly two years.
One of the things I love about building Promise is having an incredible development team around me that helps keep these worlds alive, even when I’m pulled into bigger productions.
Over the long weekend, I decided to dive back in. I pushed some of the latest AI filmmaking tools, experimented with what they’re now capable of, and used them to go deeper into this world.
This is the result.
HAUL
In Purgatory, the dead earn their way into Heaven by hunting fallen angels. A guilt-ridden former Marine is one soul away from salvation when his final haul turns into a journey through Hell itself.
Watch the prologue below.
So funny. My 8-year-old son looked up at the screen for two seconds and noticed I was watching "Sixth Sense." He asked what the movie was about and I said it's about a kid who can see ghosts. He looks at Bruce Willis talking to the kid and says "And that man is definitely a ghost." Kids are so smart these days. 😀

Went to the @CuriousRefuge AI Horror night in LA last night.
AI film contests now look like a real indie festival lineup.
Looking back at the past editions, the jump in visual and storytelling quality over the last year is hard to overstate.

I taught my 8-year old son how to build his own Claude skills for video creation. He applied them to this video he directed below for our annual Family Halloween video and wrote the script for it with his siblings.
He storyboarded it out with crayon. I gave him pointers on filmmaking language. He now understands different camera angles and lenses. He understands the importance of human story. His name happens to be "Stori."
This was after he visited me on a major film set and watched as I directed the crew and actors. Since then he has been editing nonstop and writing stories. Making dozens of stop motion videos with his action figures. Just like me as a kid in Germany.
Now all of his friends want IN. These are the next generation storytellers. Leveraging the new creative tools to create with no boundaries.
Welcome to tomorrow, today.
I gave my kids access to Seedance 2.5 inside @dreamina_ai and they absolutely cooked!
Happy Halloween from the Clarks.
