I’m loving diffusion studio. I use it with my Claude Subscription. It’s saving me massive amount of time! And I’m thinking about forking for a repo…

a few years back, I wouldn't have imagined making videos could be this easy
I built a project with custom controls to choose the data, language, content and layout
I can see e-commerce and enterprise orgs using this for entire product catalogs and regional reports
now I want to try this with 5K+ SKUs and more complex setups

I’ll leave the competitor comparisons to others, but happy to share how we think about Diffusion Studio.
We’re building a professional video editor (not a library or framework) with code as its source of truth, so agents can work directly with your project.
My co-founder and I care deeply about design and creative work, and we want the product to feel that way.
The idea is similar to VS Code: a lightweight core with high-quality foundations, open source, and extensions that let you make it your own.

What does @diffusionhq Studio compare to now, OSS?
I know:
@veedstudio OpenEdit - pretty young, Apache2
@HyperFrames_ , @Remotion (but more framework than editor)
@opencutapp (project status unclear)
Any others?

Here’s a quick tutorial 👇

My first video with @diffusionhq, and it rules. Entirely with Cursor Grok 4.6 ... so editing is another job I've lost to AI. Will make a longer-form YouTube video about it soon.

We finally cracked it!
We built an open-source video editor that turns every edit into code.
I got tired of agents:
→ Losing context
→ Giving me outputs I couldn’t modify
So we flipped it:
→ Code is the new database.

Most educational content doesn't explain or visualize things the way I learn best
So I use Claude Code to create personalized math lessons
- Pick a topic and tell the agent what you want to learn
- Ask it to break the topic into smaller parts
- Then ask it to create a video tutorial for each one
It will create really good professional tutorials
You can literally create personalized lessons the way you understand them better

A big skill upgrade to text-to-lottie
Better design taste, better motion, fewer random design decisions, fewer refinements
Generate polished Lottie animations with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
Try it: $ npx skills add diffusionstudio/lottie

made this with text to lottie and claude code
my workflow:
design something in figma or just make a rough draft. then ask claude to animate it
you'd be surprised how easy it is to add easings, masks, transforms, text effects and all the motion details
you can also ask claude to export it as a gif, mp4, png sequence, resize it in different aspect ratios
claude and codex already creates something with taste and if you know what you want to create, this workflow is really useful
and btw, it's free
