reading the CBA a little closer has me less concerned with schedule density going into next season. even with the added 6 games, with no 3-week FIBA break and an additional 3 weeks allotted to the RS+PS deadline (10/31 → 11/21), you have 6 more weeks to deal with 6 more games?

additionally, of the two major international tournaments that tend to disrupt the W schedule, the one with the more choppy fit of the two, the World Cup, will now occur exclusively after the regular and post-season (starts November 25th in 2030), so that’d be even less conflict.

HOWEVER, big but, this expanded season footprint will result in even more overlap with the NBA schedule, which will unfortunately probably result in similar scheduling conflicts to what we’ve seen in the Finals this season. I think it’s still an overwhelming net positive, though.
