Found this old Magellan GPS at a thrift store for $2 and decided to see how far I could push it. I plugged it into my PC and told @grok: “Do whatever you have to do to turn this thing into a handheld emulator.” Getting past the GPS software, figuring out how it boots, building a custom gaming dashboard, adding touchscreen controls, and getting Game Boy Color, NES and SNES games running on it. Now it has a gaming dashboard with ROM libraries, cover art, save/load buttons, a battery indicator, customizable themes, a media viewer, and ten extra touch games. Playing Mario and Zelda on something originally built to tell me where to turn is pretty satisfying. Still tweaking it, but this has already been way more fun than anything I expected to find at the thrift store.

Found an old OJO Video Phone at a thrift store for $5 Tore it apart, accessed its Linux system through UART, cracked a password hash, and gained root access with SSH and VNC. Not bad for five bucks. wareblog.com/#article-176961…

Can you guess who I am? "I was a renowned British explorer and navigator, famous for my three voyages of discovery to the Pacific Ocean, during which I meticulously charted New Zealand, the eastern coast of Australia, and discovered the Hawaiian Islands." pixilai.com/guessing/253

I hate YouTube ads. If you watch both the ads they show you without skipping them they punish you by showing you even more ads.

Has ChatGPT become just the "middle man" of what I ask it to do? It's pretty much just searching Google for things, which I can directly do.

I’m so proud of what we’ve built at WareSoftware. The 1915i Provider Connect Portal for North Dakota! This new portal makes it easier for people and providers to connect with the state’s 1915(i) Medicaid program, which offers essential home and community-based behavioral health services and support to Medicaid-eligible individuals across North Dakota. It’s been an incredible experience helping bring this important resource to life and support better access to care across the state!
