🚨PARADE NOTICE🚨 Willowbrook High School is excited to announce the return of our Homecoming Parade and we would like to inform you in advance of this exciting event. Yesterday, our Boys Cross Country team distributed flyer reminders to businesses and homes along Ardmore Avenue! The Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, beginning at 4:00 PM.  The parade will be staged on Park Blvd. at Ardmore and then travel south on Ardmore to Highridge Road.  The parade will then head west on Highridge Road to Willowbrook High School.  The Homecoming Parade will last approximately 30 minutes and will result in Ardmore and Highridge Road being closed briefly during this time.  We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but wanted to inform everyone in advance of this exciting community event. We hope you can join us for the Parade and support the fall activities for Willowbrook High School. #DubsUp @WillowbrookHS1 @dkrausewb

🏆 ANYWAY’S ATHLETES OF THE MONTH – FEB 2026 🏆 Congratulations to Angie Manlapaz (Girls Wrestling) and Liz Pettinger (Girls Bowling) on being named Anyway’s Athletes of the Month! 🤼‍♀️ Angie Manlapaz (Girls Wrestling) Angie has shown extraordinary resilience and leadership throughout her career. Since her freshman year, she’s been the ultimate team player, often competing two weight classes up to ensure a full lineup. Despite a hand injury that sidelined her until January, Angie’s determination never wavered with limited postseason prep time. This February, Angie entered Regionals as the 3rd seed (11-2 record) and made history as Willowbrook’s first-ever female Regional Champion! She continued her historic run by becoming the program’s first female state qualifier. Her efforts helped the team earn top 5 finishes in all major tournaments and a 3rd-place tie in the West Suburban Conference. 🎳 Liz Pettinger (Girls Bowling) Liz had a phenomenal February, establishing herself as a top bowler in the West Suburban Conference. In a field of eight teams, Liz finished the conference season ranked 5th individually with a 175 average. She took it to the next level at the Headpin tournament, claiming the top overall score with a massive 1277 series—averaging 213 per game! Liz’s consistency was key during the state series. She secured 4th at Regionals (1094 series) and 4th at Sectionals with an improved 1130 series, earning a well-deserved spot as an individual State qualifier. Her success drove the team to a 3rd-place Regional finish and a Sectional qualification this season. Both Angie and Liz receive a $25 gift certificate to Anyway’s and a plaque! Way to go, Warriors! #DubsUp @WillowbrookHS1 @dkrausewb

⚕️National Athletic Training Month March is National Athletic Training Month, and we want to give a massive shout-out to the duo that keeps our athletes safe, healthy, and ready to compete: Brandon Chastain and Amy Vega!  Whether it’s a taped ankle before the big game, an injury evaluation on the sidelines, or a long-term rehab plan in the training room, Brandon and Amy are always there for our student athletes. Their expertise, late nights, and dedication to our student-athletes don't go unnoticed. #DubsUp @WillowbrookHS1 @dkrausewb

🏆ANYWAY’S ATHLETES OF THE MONTH🏆 Congratulations to Lillian Macias (Girls Gymnastics) and Aris Neal (Boys Wrestling) on being selected as the Anyway’s Athletes of the Month for January 2026!! In January, Lillian placed second scoring nearly a 9.0 in the very difficult Wheaton Warrenville IHSA Regional meet qualifying automatically for the sectional. Lillian has overcome injuries and put a great vault in for the meet! And did a dynamic performance. The girls gymnastics team qualified five athletes to the sectional competition, which is the most people that qualified to a sectional in about 20 years. During the month of January, Aris compiled a record of 14-2.  During that time he won the 17 team Wheaton Warrenville South tournament, took 2nd at the 27 team Sycamore tournament, and placed 2nd at the IHSA Regional Tournament, making him a 2x Sectional qualifier.  During that time Aris has beaten multiple rankled wrestlers and made his way into the rankings.  Aris also finished with an undefeated conference record to earn All-Conference Honors for the 2nd year in a row.  He also recently qualified for the State Finals! Both Lillian and Aris will receive a $25 gift certificate to Anyway’s and a plaque! Way to go, Warriors! #DubsUp @WillowbrookHS1 @dkrausewb

Sadly, the team has finished its 2025-2026 season at the toughest sectional in the state. However, we are proud of the team and the successes and growth they’ve made this season! We had nearly 100 individual awards and placed in the top ten at nearly every tournament.
