God welcomed my beautiful mother into His arms on Sunday. She truly was one of the most caring, loving people to have walked this Earth. Thankful I had the privilege of calling her my mother. ❤️

I am so proud to finally get to call @KeishaBottoms Governor-Elect! The day has finally come where Georgia elected their first Black governor, the first Black female governor in America. Y’all did that!

Here is Rep. Virginia Foxx yelling “shut up” at journalists for asking about Republicans’ attacks on democracy. She just lost her seat in Congress.

I’m watching the results in Mississippi closely. @cindyhydesmith called security on me at the Capitol for asking about Nolan Wells, who died under mysterious circumstances this summer in her state. I hope @scott_colom will actually talk to reporters when he comes to Washington.
It’s hard to watch this video. A reporter asked Cindy Hyde-Smith a serious question about Nolan Wells' tragic passing, and she chose to run away and call security. At the very least, she could have acknowledged Nolan’s family and offered her condolences for their tremendous loss. For everyone who knew Nolan and loved him, this is deeply disappointing. No matter your politics, there should always be some basic humanity when talking about someone who lost his life — especially from an elected official. Mississippi deserves better.

Every interaction I’ve had with @AndrewFeinberg has only been positive. He’s a great journalist and does not deserve attacks from the president. Wish I were in the oval today to help defend your integrity!

BREAKING- President Donald Trump just told me at the White House he is still open to a potential federal investigation into the death of Nolan Wells. The FBI wants to close the door, telling our team there is no evidence of foul play, but Trump is leaving the door open.

The Mississippi State Medical Examiner's autopsy report found no water in his lungs or airways, despite the grand jury report suggesting Nolan Wells' death was an accidental drowning. The cause and manner of death remain undetermined, with documented evidence of head injuries noted in the report.

I’m the reporter @scott_colom. I simply thought the senator would share her condolences with Nolan’s family or any thoughts to her constituents about next steps in the investigation.

Let me clarify. You're not "standing up" for anything. Your time in Congress has been defined by flamboyant performance art, because the only thing you're fighting for is attention. You placed 5th in your own state's gubernatorial primary. People are tired of your nonsense.
Bullying? You've got some nerve. A man calling women bullies for defending our basic rights against the men trying to take them away. Women standing up for our rights isn't bullying. Men trying to take them away is. Maybe sit this one out and let the women handle it.

I was able to get onto the White House grounds today with my press pass and it's wrong that my colleagues at @CNN, @MSNOWNews, and @politico are not. It might seem like "inside baseball" to care about which news organizations have access to the president, but consider it this way: Do you want any U.S. president to determine which journalists get to cover them or what visuals of them get shared with the public? I certainly don't. CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO are suing to regain access. In the meantime, the five major TV networks (CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC) have announced they will stop providing TV pool coverage of President Trump because of the ban. They released a joint statement saying: “The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting.” For context, the network TV pool is a complex rotation of the five major networks that ensures any public presidential event is covered on-camera. The networks invest a ton of money, time, and resources to make sure a TV crew is wherever the president is -- in the Oval Office, boarding Air Force One, speaking on AF1, visiting another state or country, on vacation, etc. News outlets big and small rely on the network TV pool to get footage when we are not able to be there. It's a vital resource that costs each network boatloads of money to keep staffed. News outlets pay for, among other things, their seats on AF1, their seats in the motorcade, their hotel rooms, food, equipment, and more. While the typical White House press pool also consists of print reporters, radio journalists, and still photographers, the lack of a TV pool camera leads to a scenario where the only video being produced is directly from the White House's own video crew. This week alone, President Trump is set to meet with multiple world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in NYC and host Chinese President Xi Jinping here at the White House. Without the network TV pool, what video the public gets to see will be restricted to what the Trump Administration wants out there. The slippery slope of this all? It leads to less accountability and less visibility into the presidency, which we all as Americans elect and fund. It would be just as wrong if a Democratic president did this. Just like it was wrong when a scaled-down version of events happened during President Obama's time in office. Per CNN: "The Obama administration briefly tried to exclude Fox News from a round of interviews with Kenneth Feinberg, then-administrator of the Troubled Asset Relief Program, that was offered to the other four networks in the TV pool. But outcry from the other networks led to Fox being reinstated. And the Obama team never sought to exclude Fox from acting as the daily network TV pool." cnn.com/2026/09/20/politics/… The First Amendment is clear: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

YES! @DesireeReports should absolutely be granted access to report in the Capitol. I’ve seen first hand the treatment of digital and independent journalists when I made the transition. And while we’re discussing rules, can we also revamp the archaic filming rules in the Capitol?
Now Kaitlan is starting to understand what it’s like for independent journalists like me on Capitol Hill. I’ve had the Radio Television Correspondents’ Association, under Nate Reed, repeatedly attempt to have me removed from the Hill, involving the Sergeant at Arms and Capitol Police in the process. After threatening a lawsuit against both, they have finally stopped policing on behalf of the RTCA. Everyone is up in arms about press access at the White House, but maybe we should also be looking at what’s happening on Capitol Hill, where private media organizations play a significant role in determining which journalists receive access. Independent journalists like me should be able to cover Congress too, not just the alphabet networks.
