Okay, this is a compromise. There is a slight delay on the festival pass, sure. But it's better than getting nothing, and credit where credit is due, Epic has listened to us. But from now on, more transparent communication would be very helpful Epic.
Extending the LEGO and Music Passes wasn’t the right move. Here’s the plan:

To get these passes to you sooner, they’ll be a little smaller, similar to our mini season Battle Passes, and cost 1,000 V-Bucks. Future passes will return to their regular size and come out more often.
I wouldn't be surprised if these get passed onto players, which will just lead to price increases across the board to protect their profits.
France has approved a proposal for a new €0.055 tax per GB of internet traffic, and game downloads could be affected.
If GTA 6 ends up being around 218 GB, downloading it could cost €12 in tax under the proposal.
The tax could also affect other big game downloads and streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
However, it’s not law yet. The proposal still needs to pass through the remaining legislative process in France.
Why say it now? The pass was supposed to end tomorrow, but you delay the ending with about 48 hours notice, I think people would at least like a bit more reasoning for WHY you're delaying it, or else you'll damage the goodwill you have with us (the Fortnite community)
This may just be my opinion, but this should be opt-in not opt out. And what is the point of this anyway?

This would have a negative effect on gaming as a whole, because people may avoid or boycott a game just because of the founder or the business's political affiliations, and it just creates a divide in the broader gaming community. So no, it's not a net positive.
This might be a hot take but epic might need new leadership, I think the fact that the fact the Fortnite X Disney mode and the new epic launcher being made with AI might be damaging the amount of goodwill epic has with the community, as well as Tim's comments.
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.
