A college student boarded a train and sat opposite an elderly man saying his Rosary. The young man chided him for his ‘superstition’ and told him that science had rendered the beliefs of religion irrelevant. “How did you come to discover that?” the old gentleman asked. The college student had no answer, but he offered to mail the man some lecture notes on the subject. “What’s your address?” he asked. The old man pulled from his coat pocket his business card and handed it to the student. The card read, “Louis Pasteur, Paris Institute of Scientific Research.”
