Adolescent males dont need: 1. To be told their masculinity is "toxic". 2. To be banned from social media. 3. To have their feelings condemned or dismissed. Listen to them, be proud of them, and love them as males. Then they'll become the men we want them to be. 4/4 #Adolescence

Pleased to have this up on bioRxiv! It was borne of my obsession with the idea of immune profiling to identify antigens in hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), and while this hasn't yet been peer reviewed we think we can prove it is feasible. 1/ biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

For what ever it’s worth we found the maternity service at JCUH excellent during the birth of our son last year. Fantastic midwifery, anaesthetics and obstetric teams. Clear communication with us throughout. We would feel safe and comfortable going again. gazettelive.co.uk/news/teess…

We’ve been trying this piece of equipment out with a plan to introduce it to SDEC and ED and it’s brilliant. Crisp, clear retinal images, much better than fundoscopy, even with no dilating drops. Should help us safely manage patients with headache. Great piece of kit.

I’ve been interviewing for IMT applicants all day today and for all the doom and gloom that’s going around the calibre of candidates has been excellent. The future’s in safe hands.

Always nice to contribute to the evidence base to say #POCUS is quick, accurate and reliable when used in real life 3 point DVT scanning similar to departmental scan for identification of DVT, even in relative novices users Link here: acutemedjournal.co.uk/point-… (paywalled-sorry)

Analysis by @CHFTNHS last year found patients from ethnic minority backgrounds were, on avergae, waiting 3 weeks longer than white patients for P2 ops. Most deprived areas were waiting 2.5wks longer than least deprived. From my colleague @mattdiscombe. hsj.co.uk/health-inequalitie…
