If you're curious about the Wandering Village, check thewanderingvillage.com/. It's a lovely and polished Early Access game. Excited to play more of it, time and dog willing. Want to see more of Code's ideas on tend-and-befriend? I started with this: youtu.be/zHNfygx7PWo

A new #PlayfulThinking video essay on the fun and complex work that goes into care & companionship. Based on wanting to play @StrayFawnStudio's #TheWanderingVillage while the dog needed a walk, mixing in game designer Brie Code's work on tend-and-befriend. youtu.be/dyRvg-2BLgc

I made a video essay. A first for me! It mixes my 30-year-old memories of 'drowning' in World 2-2 of Super Mario Bros, with @add_hawk's idea of games as aesthetic striving & Donna Haraway's book/concept of 'Staying with the Trouble.' Check it out here: youtube.com/watch?v=QtQmrEBI…

Thanks again to my @LUCAS_Leiden colleagues, who awarded @apolitopoulos and I with a societal impact award. We used the money of this prize to start a board game collection, which we hope willl connect our colleagues, and other citizens, through play!

When I was a kid I looked forward so much to having my own NES. I had to save up for it, for what felt like an eternity. The same feeling of joyous disbelief when I saw that grey box beneath our tv, hit me when this happy yellow package was just delivered. Thanks @playdate!

Today in Amsterdam my daughter and I saw more than 15.000 people of all nationalities and ages #StandWithUkriane. This is the moment where all the free people of the world will say "No!" to the aggression of Putin and that of other autocrats. No more, no matter what it may take.

Streaming the Past (streamingthepast.com) is one of the top3 #DnD channels on Twitch right now. Move over, #CriticalRole! ;-)

Whelp... After a dance of two years, our defenses have been bested. My daughter tested positive for King Omicrown (her term). We caught it early, are vaccinated, and she's fine. To all, please stay happy, healthy, and let's do our best to prevent spreading these spiky bastards.
