This is NOT CPR Every time a clip like this goes viral, thousands of people believe that chest pain = start chest compressions It doesn’t In fact, doing CPR on someone whose heart is still beating can do more harm than good CPR is not the treatment for chest pain CPR is ONLY for CARDIAC ARREST You start CPR ONLY when the person is: 1. UNRESPONSIVE (Unconscious, won't wake up) 2. NOT BREATHING (or only gasping) 3. PULSELESS (No heartbeat) News channels and viral social media pages continue to circulate videos like this without any medical context Millions watch them, save them, and assume this is exactly what they should do in an emergency If someone develops severe chest pain, seek urgent medical care. Do not start chest compressions CPR is reserved for when the person collapses into cardiac arrest Please don’t learn CPR from viral clips. Learn it from certified courses or reliable educational videos. Knowing when not to perform CPR is just as important as knowing how to perform it.

Qualitative trop exists for a reason, faster triage and to support ECG findings when time matters Studies show bedside/POC troponin can reach ~90–98% specificity and even >90% sensitivity, especially when repeated or timed properly It’s less precise than lab hs-troponin, but that’s the trade off for speed, early decision making, and real world emergency use
