crypto security landscape since the beginning of 2026: the October 29 Binance incident has pushed the scale of crypto exploits into another category with an estimated $6.3B affected, it is roughly 4x the $1.46B Bybit hack in February 2025 the incident is still under investigation, while withdrawals remain suspended as Binance works on its security infrastructure i wanted to look at the major crypto exploits recorded in 2026, and the numbers reveal just how many different vulnerabilities are affecting the industry here are some of the biggest cases so far: → Binance | ~$6.3B affected, with around $3B reportedly frozen; preliminary findings point to compromised operational infrastructure involving a DevOps engineer’s laptop → Bitget | ~$387.5M exploited; the incident was linked to third-party security infrastructure issues → Drift | ~$285M exploited; attackers reportedly spent around six months building trust with people connected to the team before compromising privileged signing access → Liquid Network | ~$320M affected, mostly returned; the cause was a range-proof verification cache bug that allowed unbalanced mint/redeem amounts → Drift | ~$285M exploited; attackers reportedly spent around six months building trust with people connected to the team before compromising privileged signing access → KelpDAO | ~$292M exploited; compromised internal RPC nodes reportedly fed false information into its LayerZero bridge verification process what stands out is that these exploits didn’t all come from smart contract vulnerabilities some involved compromised devices, others exposed weaknesses in verification systems, third-party infrastructure and even human trust the Binance incident also brings back memories of the February 2025 Bybit hack, where approximately $1.46B in ETH was stolen both cases involved compromises of trusted operational infrastructure and transaction-signing processes, although the technical attack methods were different one thing becomes clear when looking at exchange-related exploits: the concentration of funds in operational hot wallets can make the potential losses significantly larger and even when an exchange has enough reserves to cover the damage, users can still face withdrawal delays and uncertainty crypto security needs to go beyond protecting private keys and auditing smart contracts the entire infrastructure responsible for accessing, approving and moving funds needs to be secured.

Withdrawals are reopening so I am finally moving part of my bag. I do not like everything sitting on one platform. Listed is not enough for me. If there is no perpetual I cannot hedge the position so the coin stays where it is. Checking that manually across a dozen coins takes too long. I uploaded a screenshot of my holdings to the @MEXC Asset Support Checker. No login, no API keys, just the image. The report came back in seconds and showed spot and futures support side by side for each coin. Nine of the twelve coins I checked have futures support. One is spot only. Two are not listed at all. Those two stay put for now. I am moving the ones I can still hedge.

Every reply I write on Pogo is graded by an AI judge: three votes, and the median decides. Every Rally post I submit is scored by an AI too. So I think about one question a lot: what stops someone from spinning up a thousand judges and outvoting everyone? @GenLayer's answer is to make judging cost something. Its validators each judge cases with their own AI model, and AI judges cost almost nothing to spin up. So before a validator gets a vote, it has to lock GEN: at least 42,000 of its own, with its own infrastructure, and at launch only the top 1,543 by weight get seats. It also gets harder the more a case matters. Appeal a verdict and the jury grows: 5, 7, 11, 13, 23 and up, always odd so there are no ties. Taking over an outcome means influencing more validators every round, and a validator caught cheating loses part of what it locked. A fake judge is almost free. A seat on this court costs 42,000 GEN. Which would stop you from gaming an AI court first: the stake, the growing jury, or losing part of your stake for cheating?
GenLayer runs on delegated proof of stake, with one difference: its validators don't just check transactions, they judge them, each with a different AI model. To get a seat on a case, a validator has to lock GEN.

Downloaded the SOEI beta this morning. It checked I was a real person before it let me in ,more than almost any other app on my phone has ever asked. The feed is still small, but every account in it is a verified human. SOEI’s AI is the bouncer that keeps bots, fake engagement and AI-generated media out. It never posts or replies for anyone. Curious what a humans-only network actually feels like once more people are in. @heysoei points for this post. $SOEI

North Korean hackers moved $6.3B out of Binance in about 20 minutes! Meanwhile, my bank needs 5 business days and 3 forms to send €2,000 to a supplier🤦 Unc found the legal shortcut:👇 >Send USDT on a7.biz >Your supplier gets a normal SWIFT transfer >100+ countries, flat 0.3% fee Fast money, but the legit kind How long did your last bank transfer take?

I just minted 5 AI Agents from @vangrid_io for a little over $4. There are around 642 owners so far, but I couldn’t find a total supply listed. Each Agent has a different points boost: 🔹 Common: +5% 🔹 Rare: +10% 🔹 Epic: +15% 🔹 Legendary: +25% The catch? I still can’t see which rarity my Agents are. Have you minted yours yet? And can you see your rarity?

The AI race in crypto may be focused on the wrong thing. The Surf x Bithumb partnership shows that the edge may not come from a smarter model, but from the system built around it: guardrails, quality checks, and workflows tailored to the exchange. Bithumb AI reached 500,000 cumulative users in 47 days. That’s strong early reach, but it doesn’t tell us how many users came back. Retention is the next number I’d watch. Surf also says it analyzes market data without accessing customer information. That makes Bithumb’s next goal - personalizing insights around users’ portfolios - even more interesting. AI signals can help people process information, but they’re not predictions or investment advice. The real test is whether the product can be useful, trusted, and responsibly personalized. What do you think gives crypto AI its edge: the model or the layer around it? @SurfAIHQ
Follow the Money: 8 KOLs Called $LIT Long. Not One of Them Owns It. Over the last 30 days, 8 KOLs called Lighter ($LIT) long. Not a single one of them holds the token. I spent some time in @SurfAIHQ new Smart Money tab, which links 30,000+ KOLs to 173,000+ wallets. The "Calls vs wallets" view puts what people post right next to what their wallets actually do. One token stood out. What the KOLs said Between Sep 30 and Oct 27, 8 KOLs called $LIT long across 11 posts in total. Some were repeat callers: one called it 3 times, another twice. Even a caller carrying Surf's "Proven" tag joined in. What their wallets did Callers holding $LIT: 0/8 Callers' own trades in $LIT: $0 Surf's verdict on the row: "Callers didn't trade" This isn't classic shill-and-dump. It's shill-and-never-buy: no position when posting, no buy after. The twist Zoom out to KOL wallets as a whole, and they still net-bought +$342K of $LIT over the same 30 days. That's one of the strongest inflows on the entire board. So the money is coming in, just not from the people talking about it. The loud wallets posted. The quiet wallets bought. The bigger picture Across the 16 most-called long-tail tokens this month: KOL money flowed out of 11 of them Callers were net buying only 3 Callers actually held the token in just 26% of their calls Most hype is just hype. But $LIT is the rare case where real money is flowing in while the callers sit on the sidelines. Takeaway A call tells you what someone wants you to think. A wallet tells you what they actually believe. Read both. Follow the money, not the posts. Data: Surf Smart Money, Calls vs wallets, 30d (as of Oct 28) asksurf.ai/hub?tab=smart-mon… Not financial advice. DYOR.

been thinking about privacy on public blockchains lately. transparency sounds great until you're talking about real financial activity. no institution wants its balances, positions, and payment details exposed to everyone. but completely hiding everything isn't an option either. people still need ways to verify that things are legitimate. that's why @primus_labs caught my attention. what i find interesting is how Primus approaches both sides. it aims to keep sensitive financial information private while allowing specific claims to be verified. basically, privacy for the data, proof for the things that matter. its work around confidential finance on BNB Chain is worth watching. the Confidential Vault is designed to bring private financial activity onto existing onchain infrastructure. another interesting direction is zkTLS. instead of simply trusting screenshots or asking users to reveal everything, offchain information can be verified without exposing unnecessary personal data. i think this could become pretty useful for lending, credit checks, and other financial applications. there's still a lot to prove, especially when it comes to adoption and performance. but institutional finance moving onchain will need more than faster transactions. it also needs better ways to handle information that shouldn't be public. that's the part of Primus i'm watching. personal thoughts only. not financial advice. #OPCAT #BTC

👀 Another AI x Web3 project to put on your radar: Linka Labs. The AI narrative is getting bigger, and everyone is talking about models, agents, and decentralized compute. But here's another piece of the puzzle worth paying attention to: storage scheduling. Think about the resources AI networks rely on every day: 🧠 Model weights 📚 Datasets 🤖 Agent states These resources aren't just files sitting somewhere. Their discoverability, scheduling priority, and continued reuse can all matter when building more efficient AI infrastructure. That's the idea behind Linka Labs — a storage scheduling protocol designed for AI networks. And the team has just hit an important milestone: ⚡ Boost-Scheduled Storage is officially LIVE. The interesting part? Users can Boost a specific storage object to increase its scheduling weight. In simple terms, you're not just looking at storage — you're interacting with how storage resources are prioritized within the network. Why should AI + Web3 builders care? ✅ A different approach to coordinating AI-related storage resources ✅ A way for users to support specific storage objects through Boost ✅ A product you can explore directly, rather than just another concept on a roadmap Plus, Linka Labs is now listed on @BitgetWallet's dApp Browser and @BNBCHAIN DappBay. 🔥 Want to check it out? 1️⃣ Visit app.linkalabs.io 2️⃣ Open Bitget Wallet's dApp Browser and search “Linka Labs” 3️⃣ Explore the listing on BNB Chain DappBay: dappbay.bnbchain.org/detail/… My take: as AI agents and decentralized applications continue to evolve, the infrastructure coordinating their underlying resources deserves more attention. Storage isn't the loudest part of the AI narrative — but it could become an increasingly important one. Explore Linka Labs and see how Boost-Scheduled Storage works for yourself. 🔗 linkalabs.io Follow @LinkaLabs to stay updated. #LinkaLabs #AIxWeb3 #BNBChain #Web3 #AIInfrastructure
