Yeah it's a common misconception, Toby just said that having a giant fountain in his house changed King for the worst, which is the same that happens with Queen. But this is because it's immense power they wish to control, not because it "magically made them evil"

i disagree heavily with all of the points made here, and i feel like the reason these thoughts are so prevalent are because people believe Toby has made a mistake in pacing Deltarune like this, an unintentional blunder rather than a carefully-paced story to build intrigue

it feels very pre-emptive to try and criticize deltarune for a pacing issue when there are two entire chapters left, as well as imo pretty callous to disregard what chapter 5 brings to the table as a progression of the game in its entirety
