couldn’t say it better
“I no longer use figma or adobe” can never be a flex to me.
Where’s the craftsmanship? Where’s the passion? I understand the need to get things done faster but I feel like we’re gradually losing the human touch that makes design special.
At some point, you have to ask yourself: why did you choose this career path as a brand/graphic designer in the first place?
I’ve spent over $1k on AI credits this year alone. I actively use AI, experiment with new tools, and keep up with the latest trends in our industry. So this isn’t coming from someone who’s against AI.
But I can tell you one thing: I still feel alive pushing those rectangles around, one pixel at a time whether in figma, adobe, or whatever creative tool gets me there.
There’s a certain joy I feel in actually making things and obsessing over the little details, while putting a piece of myself into my work.
Efficiency is great, but I never want to lose the feeling of being a designer.
sacrificing my sunday to the figma gods because next week looks a lil too ambitious. anyone else moving pixels today?
i love the kind of work where you can tell someone really enjoyed making it. there is something about that energy you can't really fake
me: how does folding feels? how’s the camera?
youtube: here’s what happens when you put your iphone duo in blender
we all should spend more time looking at something outside of the screen. architecture, posters, old magazines, vinyl covers, etc. otherwise we all end up referencing the same reference.
