Can anyone remember the last time @BBCNews interviewed a Palestinian about their experience of the racism of Zionism? Having spent the last two weeks interviewing elderly Nakba survivors in Jordan, driven off their land in their teens because of their ethnicity and religion, I'd be happy to suggest some astonishingly articulate victims of Israeli racism who would be only too happy to tell their tragic stories of eviction, slaughter and dispossession. It is like reporting on the Civil Rights movement in the US and only interviewing outraged Whites

“[Saying] ‘Zionism is racism’ is offensive, it’s antisemitic and it’s dangerous”
Broadcaster Jo Coburn says she “watched in horror” as the Green Party passed its motion on Zionism and criticises leader Zack Polanski's defence in his #BBCLauraK interview

If an issue like this did actually happen why would your daughter need a safe word? All she would need to do is text “please come and get me”? These stories are always rubbish.
I dropped my daughter off at a sleepover and went home to finish some work.
Around 11pm, she texted me: "Dad, did you feed the fish?"
We don't have a fish. That was our code.
"Fish" means:
"Come get me, don't ask questions here."
I grabbed my keys and drove straight over.
When I got there, I told the other parents she'd forgotten she had an early appointment tomorrow morning.
She grabbed her bag, thanked them, and got in the car.
On the way home, she told me what actually happened.
The girls had started passing around someone's older brother's Instagram messages, planning to prank call a boy from their grade and record his reaction to post online.
She didn't want to be there when it happened, and didn't want to explain that to a room full of girls who thought it was funny.
I told her: "You don't owe anyone an explanation for leaving," and she fell asleep in the car before we even got home.
Kids should always have a way out of a situation that doesn't feel right, no interrogation required, no story owed to anyone but the parent picking them up.

BREAKING: It looks like Reform UK's new candidate for Holborn & St Pancras may have lied on his CV?!
Peter claims he was Acting Detective Chief Superintencdent (DCS) in March 2003 but news archives say he was a DCI - 2 ranks below - in March 2003 leading an operation to stamp our football hooligans!?!
Unless Peter skipped the rank of Det Supt. to become Acting DCS in an incredibly short timeframe, it would appear he is lying.
@MetCC - can you confirm if it's a criminal offence to dishonestly lie about your past rank to make a financial gain or secure a benefit they wouldn't otherwise get - like a £98,599 salary - under Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006?

It would appear @MrHarryCole of @TheSun is blocking anybody who shares this image.
His exact quote is "Yes, we do everything to support our national security, but it can't come at the expense of social security." We all know though that it isn’t an either or as the government has a budget for many many things. It is not welfare OR defence.

Complete chaos in Derry City Centre. The Foyle Bridge is closed. The prolonged delay is apparently due to the fact that @deptinfra have not turned up to make the road safe after the spillage. @LizKimminsSF please for the love of God get something done. We are in total gridlock.

Dear @FoxNews, as a former Ambassador of Ireland to the USA, I respectfully request an opportunity to set the record straight about Ireland. Your interviewee has given a distorted picture. In the interests of balance, you need to hear alternative views.
“Don't come to Ireland. It's not safe.”
An Irish politician is escalating the country's immigration debate after the killing of an American woman, criticizing police for not publicly identifying the man they wanted to question before he boarded a flight to Turkey.
The case has reignited scrutiny of Ireland's asylum laws after reports that legal protections may have prevented authorities from publicly identifying the person of interest.

Replying to @UKScotBrit
@UKScotBrit you gave a considered reply. I condemn all violence of that time. Circa 40,000 paramilitaries went to prison but very few Army even went to court. It took 38 years for the Saville Enquiry. The “forces of law and order” should be held to a higher standard?
