A friend asked me today when I first started investing in domain names. As I looked back, I just realized it has already been more than 20 years. My domain investing journey began on July 21, 2006. At the time, I wanted to register a domain for my own company and discovered that it was listed for sale, that was when I first learned domains could actually be traded. I then searched for news about domain transactions and came across the story of the Business.com sale, which showed me just how valuable domain names could be. Excited by the discovery, I went ahead and registered a few domain names that I believed would make me RICH. The very first one I registered was FurtherStudy.net. Looking back now, I can’t even remember why I chose those particular keywords that day, or why I went with a .net extension. 🤣But none of that matters. From that day on, I fell in love with domain name investing. It has become my most important hobby. True passion makes the long years worthwhile. 😀
I got this email right before bed, and it scared me wide awake. ;-) @namejet
While hiking with the kids in Villars-sur-Ollon, we spotted this "Gelati" sign. So I bought some delicious gelati for the children and ended up buying Gelati.com for myself that very same day. A pretty fun souvenir! : ) – at Ollon, Switzerland
These are all my current active LTOs. Two domain names were canceled during their installment periods. One of them was bought outright with BIN price by another buyer immediately after the LTO was canceled, and for the other, eight months of payments had already been made at the time of cancellation. Overall, quite satisfied with the results of the LTO sales👍
I have held ColdRoom.com and ColdRooms.com for over a decade. I checked my record, there hadn't been any interested buyers inquiring about these two domain names for nearly 8 years. I had almost forgotten they were still in my portfolio. Then a few days ago, a buyer purchased the plural version directly at the BIN price on @afternic and 3 days later, the same buyer bought the singular version at the BIN price as well. An interesting transaction.
I'm very happy to see that the domain name I sold is being used by a serious end-user company for a new project. Wishing the ChatChat project all the best in its development. @ladyxtel @chatchat
Today, we opened the waitlist for our most ambitious product yet:
@ChatChat
the messaging-first social interface for the agent era.
chatchat.com
At @ChatAndBuild, our mission has always been simple:
enable anyone to build anything instantly.
But builders kept telling us the same thing:
“I want an agent, instantly.”
So, in November, we rebuilt from scratch.
On @chatchat :
- turn conversations into agents
- bring agents into the group
- add context from the tools you already use
- video and audio call your agent
- configure custom skills directly in chat
- discover and deploy from the Agent Store
Just with a chat.
And we’re opening up parts of the ecosystem so builders can contribute:
skills, connectors, and new features.
And we obsessed over one thing: safety.
Clear visibility into what an agent can access, what it did, and what permissions it has, informed by our work on Non-Fungible Agents (BAP-578).
Agents are inevitable.
Trust in agents can be too.
ChatChat runs on desktop web and mobile web.
Waitlist is open, would love your feedback.

This domain name was sold for $5,000 through @afternic LTO 12 months installment plan. After the buyer made 8 months of payments, they cancelled the transaction. This is what makes LTO sales interesting. 🙃
I listed around 200 non-premium domain names for sale on @afternic this year, and the sales performance has been excellent. I’d like to thank my account manager, Valerie, for her exceptional communication and assistance, as well as all the brokers who helped with negotiations. I look forward to completing even more sales in 2026!
Sold Fancy.com for a good 7 figures earlier this year. Now it’s time to part with TheFancy.com too : )
Sold Thomas.com last week, which was acquired via my friend @amiller325gd three years ago. This time, with Andrew’s help again, the domain name is successfully sold. It was the oldest domain name in my portfolio, which was registered in 1989. Thanks to Andrew, let's move on to the next deal. 😀
Just sold Crossfire.com for $125k, it was acquired for $18k in April. Buyer is Korean end user SmileGate, the developer of popular FPS game Crossfire. :)
Sold Moya.com last year, happy to see the project launched!
