This budget did not have meaningful investment in non-market housing, affordable groceries or better healthcare. In fact, it looks like Christmas came early for billionaires and CEOs. They get a $36 billion tax break, while Canadians are still struggling to put food on the table.
The developers at BioWare know how to run their studio. They know how to make the games that fans love. They should be given the first opportunity – and the federal support – to buy it and run it themselves.

BioWare’s US parent company, EA, has decided to close the studio. These publishers buy developers, run them into the ground, and rip them apart for profit. There's a pattern of US companies buying Canadian businesses and shutting them down, costing Canadians their jobs. (2/3)
BioWare is an Edmonton-based video game studio that created acclaimed series like #MassEffect, Baldur’s Gate, and Dragon Age. Canada’s video game industry creates some of our most important cultural exports, and #BioWare was among our greatest success stories. (1/3)

Avi Lewis: "I'm getting flashbacks to Joe Biden, who was trying to convince Americans the economy was doing better than their experience. If you look at the budget, there's a lot of charts that say the economy is doing really well, we're creating jobs, we're doing better — people are not feeling it."

Avi Lewis: "One in five dollars spent by this government in this budget right now is going to the military, is going to weapons and war. That is not an agenda that deals with the cost of living crisis."

Abdul El-Sayed: I’m committed to Jewish safety, and we are united against discrimination. The U.S. spends billions to carry out genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza with our complicity is continuing right now. Nobody wants to talk about that.

Liberals voted against a Conservative bill that would encourage businesses to invest in equipment that captures heat and recycles it into energy. NDP and Bloc supported it.
Pretty small, partisan behaviour by Liberals to kill a bill so objectively positive.
