I preached Sunday that empire begins by attacking a nation’s memory. Pharaoh’s first move in Exodus 1 is forgetting. Three days later came the plan for warning signs outside the National Museum of American History. The sermon and the news, side by side: thewychefamily.com/empire-be…

Four years ago I posted about CareNote. A spiritual director friend wrote back: "If you ever want to build something for spiritual directors, I have some ideas." Today the thing we built together is out. It's called Directee. #buildinpublic thewychefamily.com/introduci…

Almost 40 years after I first visited colleges, I’m doing it again with my daughter. Colleges have a lot to say about what their education will do for her, their ROI. I’m increasingly interested in a more important question: Who will she become? #college thewychefamily.com/college-t…

Okay, I have six of my 8 apps completely wired-up now via Buzz, errors are ingested, git issues created, agents dispatched to open a PR, then do a code-review after the PR, then notify me by SMS to review opened PR.
we're launching BUZZ! a new groupchat platform for teams of people and agents of all sizes, built to reduce our dependency on slack and github. model-agnostic, decentralized, self-sovereign, and open source. 🐝 buzz.xyz

As a solo dev, the real cost of running 8 apps isn't code, it's trying to maintain context scattered across Slack alerts, AI sessions, notes, texts and voicemails. Giving Buzz a try: per-product channels, an agent per channel, everything in one place. Here's hoping this works.

Friends, we got another week! I’m hoping they continue extending it… 👏🏾
We're extending Claude Fable 5 access on all paid plans, as well as keeping Claude Code’s weekly rate limits 50% higher, through July 19.

"Less luxury, more affordable housing" is easy to say and very hard to build. I worked through a real development pro forma at a housing training and wrote down what I learned, including who actually has to close the financing gap. #a2council thewychefamily.com/affordabl…

Continuing to enjoy the SaaS journey, especially now that @carenoteapp has reach my short-term financial goals. Customers are invested, it's easier to sell to new customers, and AI has been a huge multiplier for me personally. #buidinpublic

I'm in living in the future: on a plane to AZ, added a new ChMS integration (@1churchsoftware ) to @carenoteapp debugged and tested it, and just merged it into main. #laravel #claude #codex

Looking for solopreneurs between $1k–$9k MRR to connect with. It can be lonely building @carenoteapp. I’d love a regular connection point with others at or just past this stage of business growth. DM me if interested. #buildinpublic

Tonight, I spent 40 minutes in a future 11-year-old me could only dream about: an autonomous robot writing code using only my voice. I built a way to talk to #ClaudeCode while out on a walk. I was worried I’d always be tethered to a desk using CC. That fear is now gone. Wow! 🙌🏾

This afternoon, I built an AI-powered sermon prep tool that indexes all my past sermons, learns my voice, and helps me write new ones. 1,234 sermons. 9,749 searchable passages. This is something I’ve always dreamed about—and here’s how it works 🧵 #claudecode

5: One-click audio generation using macOS speech synthesis. Load a sermon, click Audio, get an M4A file to listen back because I'm an #auditorylearner.

6/6: The tech stack: Python + FastAPI, ChromaDB for vector search, Claude API (Sonnet for drafting, Haiku for editing), Quill.js rich text editor, Tailwind + HTMX frontend. All running locally. My finished sermons never leave my local machine. #DevTools

.@arvidkahl just wanted to say thank you for the wisdom about using AI API batching—it’s 50% cheaper. I’m working on building a sermon-archive corpus of my 1,234 sermon manuscripts to create a voice profile for an AI-assisted research and writing assistant. 🙌🏾

I think I’m sold on Claude Code. I was reluctant, and after a false start where Claude deleted $115 worth of data, I’m now convinced — it’s pretty nice. I’ve rebuilt my entire internal CRM, and it’s almost perfect. My customers, income, and expenses data are all flowing nicely.
