This is worth a thousand bars.
Raekwon, Nas, and Mobb Deep three heavyweight forces representing the raw, unfiltered sound of New York hip-hop.
Queensbridge and Shaolin connected. This is the culture right here.

Nas was attacked on "Against All Odds" and "Kick in the Door" by Pac & BIG. At the beginning of Makaveli PAC called Nas The Ring Leader on East Coast. PAC people said he was studying It Was Written. Nas was right there with BIG & PAC. These are facts. Summer 96 was PAC & NAS.

Y'all are so busy keeping score of YOUR sacrifices that you never stopped to ask how many dreams your husbands had to bury just to keep the family standing.
You think a husband driving a truck for 14 hours straight was living his dream?
You think a husband driving Uber and sleeping in his car dreamed of that as a boy?
You think a husband working as a security guard standing for 12 hours dreamed of holding a gate?
You think a husband who is a plumber with his hands in shit dreamed of that life?
You think a husband working in a warehouse lifting boxes until his spine gives out did that for FUN?
NO.
Men had dreams too. Bigger dreams than yours.
He wanted to be a pilot. A footballer. A businessman. A musician. He had plans.
But then life punched him in the mouth. Woman got pregnant. Rent doubled. Mother got sick. Bills piled up.
So he KILLED his dream with his own hands and went to work.
No announcement. No tears on Instagram. No TED Talk.
And when he dies at 58 from heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke from years of stress and silence
You will stand at his funeral and say "he was a good provider."
Not a dreamer.
Not a man who once wanted more.
Not a soul who sacrificed everything.
Just a provider.
That's all he will ever be to you. Shut up.
No man is expected to abandon his education, distance himself from his friends or bury his dreams just because he got married. But women are expected to sacrifice their entire identity, ambitions and freedom to become someone’s wife. Men get a partner in marriage but women are expected to give up their entire lives to become one. And society has the audacity to call it tradition

Lmfao.
Jay-Z’s “22 Two’s” is a crazy display of wordplay. On the first verse alone, he manages to work the word “two” into the rhyme scheme 22 different times without it sounding overly repetitive or forced. A simple concept, but the creativity and execution behind it are what make the verse so impressive.
