I don't like the way people talk about ao3 like it's some mega corp and not a community volunteer nonprofit

I would like to remind people that the Wayback Machine exists and can be a small glimmer of light in these dark and trying times. It's not perfect, but an archived copy of our Archive is leagues better than 2-4 weeks of nothing. Good luck!

We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/

AO3 IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS
they do not get paid for any of this. be kind, patient, and respectful to the volunteers who work hard to keep ao3 running, fight against censorship, and protect writers, fanfics, and people’s rights/freedom to write whatever they want, however they want

#AO3 maintenance is in progress. We expect it to take at least 12 hours, but it may take longer. We will provide updates as necessary. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…

if EA lets Bioware have its IPs, the ME5 team could put up a Kickstarter and I guarantee y'all it'd meet every single goal
The #SaveMassEffect fundraiser got 5.7k dollars in 14 minutes
If donations continued in that pace we would raise 500k in a day and like actually fund ME5 lol
