Solutions to today's hacks
$2.5B just left a Binance wallet in one transaction.
@MehowHacks put out a video on what we’re actually doing about it: zero-knowledge proof of seed provenance.
The idea is simple. Before a protocol lets funds out, the wallet proves, in ~3 seconds, without revealing your seed, that the withdrawal address and the deposit address belong to the same owner.
Or as he puts it: the thief has to show up to the bank with the bags of money they’re about to steal.

Mehow on the @token2049 main stage today.
Public blockchains put every transaction on display. The tools built to fix that: mixers, privacy coins, shielded pools, hide you, and then the exchanges you actually need treat you as a risk. Transparent to the world, or private and locked out, that's been the choice.
A payment should be private to the world, readable only by the recipient, and able to prove where the money came from when an auditor or exchange asks, without exposing the rest of the sender's history.
AmericanFortress™ is the missing primitive: a payment that is simple, private, safe and carries its own proof. Readable only by the recipient. Provable to an auditor without exposing the rest of your history. Compliant without viewing keys.

Want to know if your wife is hot?
Ask her how she feels about Sydney Sweeney.
Want to know if she’s stupid?
Ask her how she feels about Kamala Harris.
What to know if she’s evil?
Ask her how she feels about Lindsay Clancy.

My Tesla prevented an accident . Before my brain could process what was happening my car stopped abruptly and resumed running after the dashing boy cleared the path.I couldn’t have prevented this on my own and the aftermath is tragic and unimaginable. Thank you Elon.

Your crypto security should not depend on whether you notice one wrong character.
Yet that’s still how billions of dollars are moved every day.
This Wednesday at 1:30 PM ET, @MehowHacks joins @RoundtableSpace to talk about phishing, address poisoning, the coming quantum threat, and why wallet security needs a completely different architecture.
Don't forget to join in!

US data centers use < 1% of the water Americans use on their lawns annually.
LBNL put data center consumption at 17b gallons in 2023, projected to grow to 38b-73b by 2028.
EPA says lawn watering is ~ 3 trillion gallons. Not including parks, golf, businesses

The privacy model crypto actually needs:
Anonymous to third parties. Transparent between the two people transacting.
Right now you get one or the other. Full transparency exposes everything to everyone.
Privacy pools hide everything from everyone, including the recipient who needs to know who paid them.
The answer is an identity layer that sits between those extremes.
Outsiders see nothing. The two parties see each other.
Private where it should be. Verifiable where it matter
Sing it brother!
UPDATE: after 1.75 hours on hold earlier with no answer and 2.25 hours on hold just now, I finally spoke to a “human” who must usually work at the DMV but was filling in at the IRS…
She said she couldn’t help me and gave me a new number to call…
IT WAS THE SAME NUMBER I HAD CALLED TO REACH HER.
Then she said I should listen to the menu options again and hung up…
Meanwhile, my Cybertruck continued to drive itself flawlessly.
This is why they demonized Elon Musk. He actually tried to fix the government.

Don’t blame baby boomers because they could buy houses for $20k and pay for college with a summer job.
Blame the politicians who printed money from thin air for half a century to fund expansion of government, war and grift.
The money is broken. Fix the money. Fix the world.

Every proposed answer to quantum risk so far has asked the same thing of you: move your coins.
Millions of holders, custodians, ETFs and treasuries, all migrating to new addresses before a deadline nobody can name. That's not a solution, it's a systemic event with a countdown on it.
@MehowHacks at BASS @Stanford on why we built the version where you do nothing at all.
