For years, Pirate Captain Hongjoong covered his right eye. The sudden shift of the eyepatch to his left eye signals that the direction Ateez is facing and the very dimension they inhabit has completely inverted. When a "Crash" occurs on a Möbius strip or across the multiverse, reality folds over itself like a mirror. Right becoming left is the clearest visual proof that we are no longer in the original World A we once knew, but rather trapped in a mirrored dimension or a corrupted timeline. In mythology and symbolism, the left eye often represents intuition, darkness, the subconscious, and liminal realms (for instance, the Eye of Horus: the left eye symbolizes the Moon and darkness). While the right eye perceives the physical, earthly plane, covering the left eye suggests that Hongjoong has consciously sacrificed a dimension or that his perception has become permanently locked onto the other side.
