On Christmas morning The Plague NFT gave to me.... Equity (shares) in their company! Yes, you read that right. Real shares, in our company. Every Frog NFT holder as of 10 minutes ago will be allocated a percentage of shares based on the number of unlisted frogs they are holding. There will be multipliers to that percentage based on the following (and more): ✅Snapshots that have been taken since 2022 ✅My special allocation to Frogs that have gone above and beyond for The Plague ✅Team Member allocation ✅PFP usage You do not have to do anything to receive these shares. Just hold your frog until they are vested. We will have a staking mechanism to lock in the vesting period and assign shares. That will come later. For now we are in the process of changing from an LLC to a C-Corp and organizing everything to execute this process. I am still retaining the majority of the company myself as to not risk execution of our mission. Additionally there is no guarantee that future distributions like this will happen again. This was a gift. Why? How? What percentage? What is the company valuation? How long is the vesting period? I will answer those questions later. For now I am going to go enjoy Christmas.... and you should too! P.S. Yes it is legal. I did not sell them. You had no expectation of receiving them when you bought your frog. They are a gift. P.S.S. The NFT experience has been a unique one for me. Interestingly enough, I have 20+ years of leading people and managing a P&L (Profit & Loss Statement for the young'ins) in several industries. Yet for some reason I started out operating this "Web3 business" differently. I still haven't figured out why that happened. One day I will sit and reflect on it... my guess is that I will find that the delusion or idealism I had starting out is similar in nature to that of buying an animal JPEG and expecting it to be worth tens of thousands of dollars a month later. We all went temporarily crazy. I think some of us still are crazy actually. And then there are the people who send money to people named Ben. Not sure what to call them. Still, I have little doubt that there will be some brands that come out of this period that people will be writing case-studies (positive and negative) in the future. And it has become somewhat of a meme, but I could actually see a mini-series about all this nonsense being made. I am not really sure what the point of this post is... But how do you like this hat?

gm My sarcasm doesn't always translate But I really do love it here & I love our holders That being said, if you have followed my content, you know I love to point out absurdities when I see them So I feel compelled to discuss the ABSURDITY of NFT holder expectations Holders want: ☑️ Cheap or free mint ☑️ Doxxed founders with extensive business background. ☑️ The ability to critique the doxxed founders with the extensive background without providing your credentials. ☑️ Founders to be on the timeline ☑️ Founders to answer DM's ☑️ Founders to attend spaces ☑️ Founders to be available in Discord ☑️ Founders to quell disagreements between community members ☑️ Founders to silence holders that are offensive ☑️ Founders to figure out ways to keep the floor price up ☑️ Founders to create innovative products in-between handling the above. ☑️ The ability to look behind the curtain and know what the team is building and working on ☑️ The ability to critique and give feedback on what the team is working on ☑️ An expectation that the feedback be acted upon ☑️ To be decentralized up and until the point that the decentralization no longer benefits the holder (i.e. NFT is stolen) ☑️ Produce outside revenue streams ☑️ A way for teams to legally share those outside revenue streams with their holders ☑️ An expectation that when the team shares these revenue streams that it is done legally, but without the holder having to KYC or receive a 1099 ☑️ No holder risk or accountability should rewarding that holder without KYC cause legal problems for the project ☑️ The ability for the holder to sell the NFT at a higher price when they are ready to move on to the next community WITHOUT paying a royalty ☑️ An expectation that the founder and the team run the businesses in perpetuity with our without royalties And now ☑️ Compensation or incentivization for using that project's PFP ☑️ But the ability to change that PFP and move on should the incentives dry up or a better offer or opportunity come their way If you made it this far, you are probably ready to yell at me and tell me how founders and Teams have been screwing holders since 2021. You are ready to show me the millions upon millions of dollars in royalties that teams have raked in and delivered nothing. And you would be 100% correct. So here we are... We have an industry full of teams that have not delivered, and a customer base filled with people who have been screwed over many times... and now the majority of them that are left have unreasonable expectations. Where do we go from here? I can tell you that our team is continuing on the path. We are ignoring (for the most part) the chaos around us and preparing to deliver what we believe are the two coolest businesses to come out of this market. But our team building these businesses consist of 3 people with over 50 years of business experience combined. We are used to pressure and unreasonable expectations. And we will deliver. But why would anyone else come into this environment? They won't. But... "This too shall pass." The industry will change. Things will normalize. And all of this nonsense will just make for good stories. Until then. I recommend each individual check their expectations vs reality. Or.. start your own project and get that list above knocked out. 🤝
