Children need to learn how societies outside of Western civilization and Confucian civilization were never anything near functional.
Learning about the societies that sacrificed children, ate each other, slaughtered each other frequently vs working together, etc and how all of them never generated enough of an economic surplus to create more advanced civilizations is important. It’s a missing building block in the education of so many of our well-meaning leftist friends.
To keep the west functional, and push back on the base cultural appeal of third-worldism, kids need to understand this before they are too exposed to talk about how all cultures should be respected.
(And there is generally something to admire in most cultures - but understanding how to structure interactions with people with different values when you need to engage with them in a heterogeneous world is different from thinking their underlying culture is great!)
When Saladin took Jerusalem, he destroyed all the crosses, including the relic of the True Cross which the Muslims took in battle. They paraded them before Christians before destroying them, even urinating on some of them.
He had 200-300 Christian Knights beheaded while he watched.
He had 8000 women and children enslaved that day alone, including noble women and nuns forced into concubinage. Muslims enthusiastically described the deflowering and r*pe of the Christian women.
Through his entire campaign it's estimated that 40-50k Christians were enslaved.
This is what modern Hollywood films present us instead. Interfaith dialogue and a Saladin who respects the cross more than....the Crusaders.
This is how you end up with CAIR endorsed candidates winning office. A population fed CAIR endorsed films like this one.
Which one is husband, vacation or boyfriend dick?
Someone educate me.

Long or.............short it!.
I spent the last year living between Lagos and Nairobi...
Nigeria in particular has one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Yet three years ago, its currency, the naira, lost more than half its value.
To defend it, Nigeria’s central bank pays 21% for people to hold naira, among the highest rates anywhere.
Until now, those yields have been hard for most people to reach
Numo is a futures market for currencies like the naira where businesses can buy dollars at a fixed rate and traders can buy naira.
We’re on a mission to make the world’s most volatile currencies stable.
Anybody that's articulate and can speak well, can sell anything....
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

As we think of capital markets, a first-principle question to ask is, “how’s the value, we all want exposure to, is created”
We might have figured out the capital market tech but for emerging markets, with the long tail where analysts don’t even exist at scale, we have to do more.

Still thinking about how Michelangelo said excellent people like to solitude-max because they don't want to "corrupt themselves with the vain conversation of idle persons and degrade their thoughts"
Follow the money..
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.
