Of all the things I've written, this book is the one I'm most proud of because it is in my own voice and gives some insight into where my psyche and professional work intersect.
Could you do me a favor and request that your school or local library purchase it? I'm not even asking for you to because I hate to be that guy, but...do me a favor and make that request.
I hope to write more books like this one beginning next year. So much left to do and I'm weary (I probably need a vacation).

Wish Willie Mays played in the Statcast Era so we would have a worthy comp to explore. Honorable mention to Ken Griffey Jr. and Andruw Jones.

People will talk about “storytelling” and then it’s just a bucket of loosely connected facts
Storytelling requires a story
A story has a beginning, middle, end. A protagonist, an antagonist. Maybe a loyal sidekick. A noble quest. A surprise! A pickle!! A change, a resolution.
It’s the difference between “in a galaxy far far away…” and “today we’re excited to announce that we are launching a rebel alliance”
In some stories, the protagonist is you, on your own hero’s journey
Other times, the protagonist is the customer. They have an important goal, but there’s something standing in the way. What has changed now, and why? What’s their happy ending?

Good conversation with President @realDonaldTrump on the future of Canada-U.S. trade.
This builds on our recent constructive discussions on the outlines of a mutually beneficial trade deal that would create jobs for our workers, boost affordability for families, and fully respect Canada’s languages, culture, and sovereignty.
Our teams will now be working in the coming weeks to deliver that outcome.
