Boy am I sick of “We need to.” How about “I am going to?” How about “You have made me accountable for… and it’s a violation of that accountability if I don’t produce results.” I’d have been fired 5 times over. Do anything.

We need to restore the protections of Roe as law of the land. We need to elect officials who will do that.
I just want to be really clear about something. Abortions will still happen whether it's illegal or not. The difference is that more women will die because they won't be safe, and it will fall hardest on poor women + women of color. We must fight this with everything we’ve got.

I’ve had a day to process what happened in Texas. Tomorrow morning, I will tell each member of my immediate family how much I love them before seeing them off to one of three public schools. Not a day goes by where I don’t worry about their safety. Not a day. And I’m tired.

Sensible gun laws are pretty simple. No responsible gun owner I’ve ever met is against some sort of regulation. BUT, our institutions have failed to build any sort of foundation of trust for the sensible folks to feel comfortable enough with to put their bags down…
