I would just love more relevant people to see my posts... and others get paid. Such an odd world.
X payouts were definitely up this week. Anyone else thinking the same?

I only visit threads when they trick me into a click on Facebook. I'm guessing that gives them the active user numbers. Then again, X is a ghost town for most of us.
JUST IN: Mark Zuckerberg says Threads has surpassed X in monthly active users

🚨🚨Breaking News: OH Democrat gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter!🚨🚨 In a new ad, Donna Arthur says Acton has lied about her childhood and about her opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy. The full script: "My name is Donna Arthur and I'm Amy Acton's mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America. "I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent, and it's not easy for a mother to say this, but Amy has a serious problem. "She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She's lied her entire life. "My daughter needs help, and she can't help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn't doing that. "Don't vote for people who lie. Don't let her become your governor. If you think she'll make your life better, you're fooling yourself. It will only get worse." This is the toughest campaign ad ever run. It is also truthful, and Ohio voters needed to hear it. Acton has built her campaign around her life story. In 2020, she described how she moved from place to place as a child with her mother and younger brother. She told a Youngstown TV station she lived in 18 places before age 12. She told the Toledo Blade the family slept in a tent at one point. Her mother was there for those years, and she says the story is false. Acton moved in with her father in Youngstown around seventh grade, so the childhood in question is the one Arthur saw firsthand. A candidate who will stretch the truth about her own past will stretch it about anything. When her own mother says Acton's story isn't true, every promise Acton makes deserves a second look. In the spring of 2020, Acton stood beside Gov. Mike DeWine at daily briefings and told Ohioans what they could and could not do. As health director, she signed the statewide stay-at-home order. The night before the March primary, she ordered polling places closed. Those orders locked down the state. Parents tried to run a kitchen-table classroom and hold down a job at the same time. Grandparents spent their final months behind glass in nursing homes, and many families never got to say goodbye. Now Acton wants a promotion to the office that signs the state budget, appoints judges, runs every state agency, and speaks for nearly 12 million people. Her trouble with the truth is matched by trouble at home. In August 2019, months into her job as Ohio's health director, one of her daughters called 911 to report that Acton and her husband were fighting. According to the call, Acton had been "drinking and throwing things." The responding officer wrote that she pulled a mirror off the wall during the argument and broke the glass. No charges were filed. Ohio voters didn't learn about that night until NBC News reported it this spring, nearly seven years later. Acton spent 2020 telling 12 million Ohioans how to live their lives, and none of them knew. Arthur says she loves her daughter. Speaking out against your own child in a statewide race carries a heavy personal cost, and Arthur chose to bear it anyway.

Acton’s stepfather abused her from age 9 to 12 and was criminally charged, and the family lived in a tent in winter. Her brother confirms they were removed from their mother’s custody. Acton’s stayed married to the stepfather until he died. sources: vindyarchives.com/news/2019/aug/… wkbn.com/news/elections… justthenews.com/politics-polic… mediaite.com/politics/vivek…

Littering is like shitting in your bath water. If you think it is no big deal you shouldn't be sharing space with others.

Wealth creates a higher baseline experience. A rich person spending $700 is like a middle-income person spending $50. But $700 in the hands of a middle-income person could buy more joy than in a rich person’s hands. I think humanity needs to joy-max while being good stewards of the planet and considering the impact of our actions on others.
Friend in NYC is recently single, finance bro, makes ~$5M/year. He dropped $700 on a first date so I gave him shit for it. His response.

It is weird to watch these talking points spread. Over a billion people in India and 5000 BYD vehicles sold a year. But many thousands of comments about them.
Replying to @AdrianDittmann
Oh really? How about China? Chinese Huawei in US? Heard of BYD in US?

BYD is not legally barred from selling cars in the US, they sell busses and literally have a headquarter in California.

Anyone else pray that Elon isn't evil? On one hand, I nearly everything he does. But he is also moving giant pieces of the commerce like chess pieces, preparing for checkmate. Please Elon, be who I hope you are.
This is the last critical piece of the spectrum puzzle needed for SpaceX to provide complete phone coverage in America

As a frequent vegas visitor I've watched this happening. I've been avoiding the strip since before covid. Last time early this year I decided to swing by a bar on the strip for a beer. $20! There were a dozen people at the bar. Every one of them talking about the insane price they just paid. 🤣😂
Downtown Las Vegas is dying💀 The hotels are half empty. Table game wagering was down 30% in August.

If no one will pay for Starlink in India, then why prevent Starlink in India?
Replying to @drewrants @elonmusk
Drew, do know how much Indian villagers pay per month for broadband? They now pay $5 for 30MBPS connection - impossible for Starlink to ever penetrate the rural market.

Grok Bots have had a diminishing margin of return. They started great, but small adjustments over time have made them likely to randomly make mistakes on simple tasks.
