'This iconic 1968 photo depicts then-Lieutenant Colonel William "Wild Bill" Weise (who later achieved the rank of Brigadier General), commander of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines (known as "The Magnificent Bastards") during the Vietnam War. He is shown lying on a stretcher, calmly smoking a cigar while holding up his own IV drip bottle after being seriously wounded during the fierce Battle of Dai Do in May 1968. His battalion suffered heavy casualties but successfully turned back a much larger North Vietnamese Army force heading toward the major combat base at Đông Hà. Under his command during this battle, two of his company commanders-James E. Livingston and M. Sando Vargas-earned the Medal of Honor."
Photo taken by unknown USMC photographer. Most likely taken between 01-03 May 1968.

I’m sitting in an airport and I overheard a mom talking on the phone and crying. Her 20year old son has been diagnosed with cancer.
I spoke to her for a few minutes and told her I would be praying for him. She seemed pleased to hear that.
Please join me in praying for Tyler.
Thank you!

While God is personal, He is also everywhere present.
When we have a vision for Christ in everything we see, then others will see the presence of Christ in everything we are.
An impossible task? Not when we offer everything we are to the Creator of everything there is🙏🏻

Friends, may I ask for prayer for baby Mathilda? She was born 3 months premature, is struggling to breathe, struggling to live. Her parents would so appreciate it, as would I. God is so good, and we have complete faith in His mercy, compassion, and grace. Thanks ever so much.

I lost my Dad on 9/11. I don’t get a lot of reach on here. But I just wanted to share a picture. He was 39. I thought he was old. I’m now in my mid 30s and I still feel like a kid.
He was a great trader. He loved markets. He loved to find a stock no one was talking about.
The first trade I ever placed was on his work computer, where he let me click the button to buy AMAT. I loved going to the office with him. It was electric.
He was the best dad. We spent hours out in the street after dinner where he’d throw “pop flys” for me to catch. Eye on the ball.
He loved watching Sponge Bob and eating cereal, wrestling with us in the living room. He just loved being around his kids so much, and we knew it. I’m so grateful I got a dad like that.
Love you, Pops.
