i've made over 6 figures referring businesses to whop...
now the people i work with are doing it too
one of my students moved a car detailing business over and it's paid him $6,550.58 so far
- 30% of the fee on every sale
- no product or customers of his own
- completely PASSIVE income
right now is the earliest anyone's going to be to this model
DM me "PARTNER" if you want the same setup he used, most of it runs itself
don't move your business to whop if you hate:
- no monthly software bill
- buyers paying in installments
- one login for everything
- discord roles that sort themselves out
- tap to pay at your events
- cancelled members removed for you
- stripe subscriptions moving in one click
- affiliates paid without a spreadsheet
- 40,000 people getting paid there every month
- $0.30 notifications at 3am
signs your business has outgrown its payment setup...
- 4+ tools to sell 1 product
- checkout on one site, content on another
- removing access by hand
- ex-members still in the discord
- a zap breaks and nobody notices for a week
- failed payments nobody chases
- no idea what you pay per sale
- a monthly bill for every tool
if you have clients but no product, i'm begging you:
- pick the clients that bill every month
- memberships, software, courses, refill brands
- start with the owner still adding members by hand
- move their checkout to whop as a partner
- run 20 of them so one leaving costs you 5%
whop partners have earned over $10M from referring businesses, and you don't need a single follower to be one
here's how i'd run it:
IM BEGGING YOU TO TAKE PAYMENTS THROUGH WHOP…
most setups i audit look like this:
- stripe for payments
- course platform for content
- community app for members
- zaps holding it together
- monthly bill for each of them
when a payment fails or someone cancels, their access has to come off by hand,
or through a zap that breaks at the worst time.
on whop, the checkout, the product, the course and the community all live in one place.
access is tied to the payment, so it turns on when someone pays and turns off when they stop.
you end up with fewer tools to pay for, and nobody stays in your community for free because a zap broke.
if you're doing $25k+ a month and want to see what moving to whop looks like for your business,
get an audit @ whopdfy.com/audit
you think switching platforms will lose half your members
the businesses i've brought onto whop have processed $20M+ since they switched
8 checks before you move a single payment:
1. find out which tool owns each charge
close samcart and your stripe subscriptions keep billing. the samcart payment plans stop dead mid-schedule
2. move the checkout and keep the course
on kajabi, a new gateway only touches new sales. every existing stripe rebill stays put until you migrate it on purpose
3. look at your skool price before your skool fees
pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. a $2,000 offer pays $78.30 a sale instead of $58.30
4. know who's collecting your payment plan
- payment plan: each installment lands when it's paid
- financing: the provider funds the sale, minus a 15% fee
a financed $5,000 sale is $4,250 to you, before any reserve
5. keep financing out of your script until it's approved
whop wants $30k+ from 10+ customers over 90 days and disputes under 2% before you can apply
6. check the subscription after a card update
in stripe, a customer changing their default card can leave the subscription charging its own saved card. the member thinks it's fixed and the next renewal fails anyway
7. test access as a buyer, never as an admin
an admin opening the course proves nothing. and in discord the whop bot's role has to sit above every role it hands out
8. keep the old account open after you move
refunds, disputes and receipts still live there. close the wrong one early and a payment plan can stop at payment 3 of 6
save this for the week you finally switch
you can take any client you built a checkout for, move them to whop, and get paid on every sale they make for YEARS
right now your retainer pays you once a month, and only while they keep you
their payment processor gets paid on every single sale, for a checkout you probably picked
whop pays partners up to 30% of its cut on every payment from the businesses they bring, plus 1% of their ad spend on whop
it runs for as long as whop earns from that client, and your client pays nothing extra for it
how to run it:
1. list every client you've built a funnel, site or checkout for
2. add their product to cart and write down what each one checks out on
3. pick the ones with a reason to move: high fees, members added by hand, or buyers asking to split a $3k offer
4. sign up as a whop partner and hit "new referral" with their site and the owner's email. that client is locked to you
5. hand the onboarding to someone who's done it before: KYC, products, payment plans, a financing check, 30 days of support after
6. keep the relationship. you're still the person they call
why agencies skip this:
moving payments is a pain. KYC, payment plans, financing approval, and every "why did my customer get this email" message after launch
so they hand away the one part of the build that pays on every sale
(i used to sell for whop. we onboard your clients for free and whop pays you directly. DM me "PARTNER" and i'll show you how it'd work for your client list)
