The bug is like a joke.
On Alpine Linux, type 257 to 1024 characters of anything and you get root. 💀
‼️ BREAKING: OpenSSH has rushed out a fix for a critical flaw that lets attackers log into some Linux servers without the right password.
The team learned of the bug a day earlier. OpenSSH's Damien Miller says long embargoes now mostly help attackers, because AI agents rediscover bugs, sometimes within hours.
It hits Linux systems on the musl C library with PAM off, such as Alpine Linux. Miller told admins to disable password logins or SSH itself "IMMEDIATELY".
Version 10.6p2 works around it. Systems on glibc or PAM are not affected, and Miller says the root cause sits outside OpenSSH.

Elandon Robert’s on Pittsburgh fan being the best fans:
“I love the New England Patriots. No stadium and no fanbase better than the Pittsburgh Steelers. That Pittsburgh fanbase makes you feel you’re one of them. Like you were born and raised in Pittsburgh everything.”

Ok. So I only have 360-ish followers, but maybe that’ll change. Never asked for anything. But please go check out my band’s new album that dropped last Friday. It’s heavy and melodic. And on target for these strange days..
The new Apple Music icon in #iOS 27.2 stinks. It seems so out-of-place with the rest of the stock Apple icons.

Captain Dickinson meets Captain Kirk! 🖖🤘
Fifty years of Iron Maiden. Sixty years of Star Trek. And now I find myself alongside the legendary William Shatner, with Eddie taking command of the Enterprise! 🚀
What more could you possibly ask for? 😄
Which scene is your favourite?
This is really bad:

IMO, the onus/responsibility for identity theft should be on the corporations, not the consumers. They are the ones leaking the information and then making it easy for criminals to use that information.
Thanks to @Alex_Kozora for all his great reporting! Is that "late hands" drill the Steelers have been running at TC new this year (where the DB stands facing the WR while the ball is thrown and the WR tries to catch it and the DB tries to get hands up to deflect)?
I really wish @claudeai / @AnthropicAI supported Passkeys for logging in over magic links. Magic links are ripe for MitM attacks, as many email vendors have things in place to evaluate embedded links for security risks. Adding support for Passkey would be much more secure.
This is the issue that I think the whole DLS debate has really brought to light. Many locations are really in the wrong TZ. I'm not sure this map gets it right, but our current TZ mapping seems wrong.
Replying to @WaywardRabbler
If you want center of each time zone to be clock noon at solar noon and no where more than 30 min off, below would be the US time zones. Many states are partly or completely in the wrong zone now for matching with solar time. I should be in Central by solar but am in Eastern.

❗️ Meta just silently opted in every adult Instagram user for their new Muse AI Image generator, which lets anyone create AI images of your likeness by tagging your public handle in a prompt, no notification when your photos are used, and no removal of images generated before you opt out.
To opt out on Instagram: Profile > Menu > Sharing and reuse, then switch off the reuse toggles under "Allow people to reuse your content on Instagram and with AI features at Meta."
Saw this in the St George Sound near #Carrabelle #Florida last week near the shoreline. Almost looks like translucent intestines. Anyone know what is? I’m assuming a #jellyfish of some sort.

ALT A headline Introducing MDN MCP server above a terminal window titled Light-dark CSS function for images, showing a prompt asking how to use the light-dark() CSS function for images and which browsers support it, with a note that the mdn tool was called 4 times, followed by an answer explaining that light-dark() takes two image values and works anywhere an image is accepted. The MDN logo appears on the right.
I still can't believe that the @Zoom Windows client does not show the total time spent in a channel call once you have exited the call. I often need the time I spent logged. What's weird is the iOS Mobile client does (or used to) show this.
Aren't eBikes really just modern day mopeds?
Seems like they should probably follow the same State laws as mopeds. I keep seeing these kids doing like 20 - 30mph on the sidewalk.
