Thats not really accurate just a bit more clarity. This was for HITCON CTF, one of the major CTFs of the year. I think a big reason this didn't happen was, cuz they dropped at on the final wave of the 48 hour ctf and it was a shit ton of version. We had a lot of payloads working but the scope of this challenge was far beyond that. Getting stable working exploits for live version of the php bug across all targets is not easy !
> Also a lot of top teams were playing google finals and flux ctf fwi, also ctfs are kinda of shizo atm if you put enough people on this it def doable in 48 but in like 12 hours it wasn't worth trying if your goal was to win 💀

Is there a better term than "reverse-AI-psychosis" for the people who still yell "AI slop" when there are real results?
is this still not clear?? i want to bring this up again
optimistically, lets assume cyber is defense dominant and exploitable vulnerabilities are finite and exhaustible.
then, give the fucking models to as many good security researchers as possible and let them exhaust the attack surface.
pessimistically, i think cyber is offense dominant. the sin of complexity, vibe coding making it worse, and increasingly capable models potentially opening up entirely new vulnerability space, and you need to secure everything. then, your best bet is attack surface reduction, formal verification and secure by design, but thats a fever dream and aint happening anytime soon.
so, again, give the fucking models to as many good security researchers as possible and let them find and eliminate as many attack paths as they can.
either way, walled gardens are counter productive.
Why are people larping security lmao 😭, sounding yourself with security nerds just makes you a chronic workaholic do not recommend

After weeks of rioting in Paris no one was killed.
Which technically means your child is safer attending a riot in Paris than a school in America.
Do you know who illustrated the comic on calif.io/php2shell?
Her name is Stephanie Cortes. And her husband is the hacker who discovered php2shell: @lcfr_hax.
This artist-hacker couple has the best story, stay tuned!
gotta give it to openai and their sane daybreak program
heif heist by harsh
kvmescape by paulos
php2shell by lcfr
gitlab rces by joaxcar
chrome full chain by moyix
wordpress rce by hashkitten
all largely thanks to openai daybreak giving researchers access to gpt 5.6 sol. anthropic took the opposite approach, gatekeeping access, there is a lesson to be learned here
