End of shift. The missus is home. We pulled the CIDR and gave Matilda and Penelope their shots and bought their forgiveness with goat treats. We'll inseminate them on Monday and hope for baby goats come March.
End of shift. Fetching the missus from the airport first thing tomorrow morning. Technically it's like fourth thing in the morning, but whatever.
We'll be breeding these two this weekend. Matilda, foreground, is tried and tested, good mom, easy births. Penelope, the brown lug behind her, miscarried last time, so we'll see. Found out the auction house is desperate for kids, so bonus.
It's been cold, wet and windy every day since I took the missus to the airport on Saturday. I guess it's true what the man said, ain't no sunshine when she's gone.
End of shift. Enough leafs have fallen to make cleaning up the north side of the barn doable. It becomes a jungle every summer. Anyone need a really big gate that doesn't actually fit any of openings on the farm?
End of shift. We got cold November rain. Somebody should write a power ballad about that. I could see it being popular.
