Maine could be literally Jackson +4 right now instead of +0.5. But they refuse to vote. So unfortunate. WAKE THE FUCK UP. FIRE SUSAN COLLINS.

You all need to understand that there is a well-funded movement to kill Wikipedia as an institution. The dream of an internet that provided universal access to knowledge was a mirage. It threatened too many powerful people, so now we have AI summaries and illiteracy.
Can we also talk about how Wikipedia entries are no longer at the top of a search 😭

Trump walks out to "Rockin' in the Free World." Neil Young told him to stop using it for years now. This week he finally sued for $10 million.

Dan Rather Here is my message to every eligible voter, whatever your political affiliation: If this worn and battered old journalist at age 94 can get to the polls, then surely so can you.

Lowering the Medicare age to 50 would cost $180 billion a year. That's $70 billion less than the budget increase the House passed for the Department of War. We could have healthcare over warfare. I'm proud to cosponsor @RepJayapal's bill to lower the age from 65 to 50.

One week until Election Day. America deserves better than the pedophile protection party. Knock doors. Make calls. Get your friends to vote. Let’s elect Democrats up and down the ballot and finally make Trump release the Epstein files.

We can’t stop at abolishing ICE. We must prosecute the ICE agents who have shot innocent people to death, as well as the private prison companies that are making billions from this corrupt and criminal enterprise. It's modern-day slavery inside modern-day concentration camps.

This is racism, plain and simple.
98% of the refugees admitted to the U.S. under Trump have been white South Africans.

"I feel like a fool. I feel like I've been used. If I could take my vote back, I would." Meet die-hard MAGAt Vincent Scardina, a Florida roofing contractor whose 37-year-old business, A-Plus Roofing, was suddenly paralyzed when ICE agents detained a third of his workforce. During a routine traffic stop in late May 2025, federal agents seized six of his Nicaraguan employees. Despite five of them holding valid, unexpired U.S. work permits and having no criminal records, the enforcement action immediately stripped Scardina of the specialized labor required to fulfill his local building contracts. Scardina was a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, actively voting for the administration’s platform. He openly acknowledged his alignment with the political movement, expecting that federal immigration policies would strictly focus on public safety threats. Reflecting on his political choices, Scardina told reporters, "I supported Trump. I voted for Trump... I believed he was going to deport the criminals, the murderers, the rapists." The enforcement operation against his own documented staff triggered immediate political remorse and emotional distress. Realizing the personal and economic consequences of the administration's sweeping enforcement directives, Scardina expressed deep regret over his vote. Overwhelmed by the loss of his team, he broke down publicly, stating, "I feel like a fool. I feel like I've been used," and added, "If I could take my vote back, I would."

The national security advisor that has overseen one failed war of choice and the kidnapping/indefinite detention of legal US residents is now a coyote for foreign autocrats. Quite the resume.
As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States. The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio . From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.

He thinks he can ban words in newspapers now. The barriers between Trump’s inner reality and the outside world do not exist anymore. He sees everything as an extension of himself. In his reality, it’s called “SI” and everyone must comply. Dark times. He’s just a madman.

.@elonmusk trying to buy himself a senate seat in Texas in the form of Ken Paxton is a good reminder of when Peter Thiel successfully bought himself a senate seat in Ohio in 2022 in the form of @JDVance, and then told Trump to select him as his VP (and he did, the following day).
