Shitty employees cost way more than their payroll.
Worse, they burn out your top performers picking up the weight.
You don't need to fire them--use the reverse fire.
Raise your standards to a level C players can't tolerate, and let them walk out the door.
Are you protecting your A players, or enabling your C players?

"Hey, you're back. You want one or two?"
That was the entire close.
This was my second year of college. I was selling sugar gliders at state fairs, dressed head to toe as Crocodile Dundee (on purpose... people kept asking if I was a vet).
The pitch ran 15 minutes and I delivered it word for word on repeat, like a CD.
It answered every objection before anyone could raise it.
A crowd of 10 or 15 would turn into 300 or 400 by the end.
Then I'd hand out brochures and tell everyone to walk around and think about it.
The ones who came back had already decided... I just had to ask how many.
Years later my first webinar did $20K, 10 sales at $2K to about 80 people. It was basically the booth pitch again, through a screen.
How many people heard your pitch this week?

The people who trigger you are telling you exactly what you want.
Most people throw that information away.
First year of college I coached youth soccer in a wealthy area, and after games I'd sit with the parents with a notepad and ask how they thought about money.
They had everything I didn't.
That's usually where resentment starts... I took notes instead.
(a friend's dad running a business doing tens of millions a year looked at me like I was insane when I asked his favorite business book. He'd never read one. He was running the patterns without knowing they had a name)
Envy and admiration are pointed at the same thing.
What separates them is what you do in the ten seconds after you feel it.
So before you type something bitter under someone's post, read it back first.
You've written down your own goal in the ugliest handwriting possible.
Next time you feel triggered by someone’s success, ask yourself: What is this telling me about what I actually want?
What’s one lesson you learned from someone you used to envy? Drop it below. 👇

I didn't use the $20K first webinar here because it already anchors the sugar glider caption.
This version runs on the real estate coach case instead.
A real estate coach came to me with one Instagram DM funnel, and it was drying up.
He was doing $30-50K a month off that single funnel, with nothing behind it if it stopped working.
I gave him the webinar framework.
His first one paid back the $3K in ad spend on the spot and booked 7 sales calls, and he called me an hour after it ended, ecstatic.
He ran another 30 days later and it did better.
From that point on he never had a month under six figures (we've since run the same play dozens of times across other clients).
Nobody hands real money to a stranger in the DMs.
Sit through a real lesson with someone, though, and they stop being a stranger.
How many of your followers have actually heard you teach?

The more campaigns in an ad account, the less anyone knows about what's working.
We manage millions a month in ad spend at ROAS, and the setup I'd hand almost any coach is two campaigns... one where new ads get tested, and one where the winners go to get budget.
Every extra campaign makes the data harder to read (and yes, that includes the one you launched "just to see").
On the creative side, shoot your hooks separately from the body of the video.
One shoot turns into a stack of combinations instead of a single finished ad, and you end up testing the opening, which is where most ads lose people.
When one wins, it moves over and gets the budget. The rest get cut.
How many campaigns are running in your account right now?

The biggest business decision I've made, my head said no to.
I'd just exited and I was done with agencies.
Every rational input said don't start another one.
I called Nate anyway and told him my head says don't do this but my intuition says let's do it together.
Twelve months later, 100+ clients at a 90% success rate.
That call didn't come out of nowhere.
You can train the thing that made it.
(I run mine on stuff that doesn't matter... which lane on the freeway, whether to call someone back)
Before you decide, note how the yes feels and how the no feels.
Go back after and check which one was right.
Do that enough times on small things and the signal gets loud enough to trust when the stakes are real.
Most people only consult their gut when everything's on the line. That's the worst possible time to meet it for the first time.

10 people bought. About 80 were on the call.
That was the first webinar I ever ran... a $2,000 program, and an hour later it had done $20,000.
Most I had ever sold in a single hour of my life.
For a long time before that I'd get to the part of a presentation where you have to ask for money and find a reason to move past it quickly.
What fixed it wasn't confidence.
I went and bought the products other people were selling so I could sit inside their webinars and take the thing apart, looking for where they placed what.
Mark Lack coached me through a lot of it.
(He's done somewhere between $50M and $100M in webinar sales, so I stopped arguing with him pretty early.)
What I found: 17 specific moments where something gets said that makes people decide before you ever ask for the sale.
Same offer I'd been failing to pitch.
Different order.
So before you decide you're bad at something... has anyone ever actually shown you the structure for it? Most people go their whole career without seeing one.

A mentor worth north of $700 million drove me around his real estate once and told me why he made it and the guys he grew up with didn't.
Same city, same schools.
He said they were addicted to excuses.
Everyone nods at that line. It costs nothing to agree with.
What stuck with me was what he did, not what he said.
He'd read Think and Grow Rich 500 times.
One book, and he swore every pass made him another million dollars.
Most people would have read 500 different books instead and built nothing.
Resourcefulness is staying on one problem past the point where you stop knowing what to do.
That loop is the entire job.
The resources were never the variable.
What's that one book or lesson you keep coming back to? Let me know below. 👇

Every AI startup has the same gradient and the same landing page.
That's what selling to everyone looks like. When your buyer is everyone, the page can't say anything specific about anyone.
I started my first software company seven years ago, back when a tool like that ran tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Now you describe it in a prompt and it exists.
So the moat moved.
It used to be who could afford to build, now it's who knows exactly what to build.
At the podcast studio we stopped shopping for booking software and started building ours around how the team actually runs... clients end up with tools nobody sells, because nobody else needed them.
(and props to the founders shipping the gradient sites, at least they're making something)
What are you renting for $100 a month that you could own?
#AITools #SaaS #AIStartups #AgencyOwners #ProductStrategy
I'd never let a client tell me an ad worked because it felt like it worked.
Then I turned around and let my own team tell me AI made them faster because it felt faster.
A study finally measured it. People swear AI doubled or tripled their output, and when you check the work, most of them are off by a lot.
Nobody's lying. You type less, something appears, your brain files it as done... and the hour you spend fixing it never gets logged anywhere.
(same reason nobody has ever described themselves as a below average driver)
So at ROAS every role gets one number.
Editors are on minutes of finished video.
Funnel builders are on pages live.
Nobody reports hours saved, because nobody can report hours saved accurately.
If the work isn't as good and out the door sooner, the tool didn't save you anything. It moved where the work happens.
#AIProductivity #AIatWork #TeamOutput #AgencyOwners #MarketingOps
People will trust a machine to answer their question.
They won't trust you to use one on your caption.
93% now say heavy AI use makes them trust a brand less.
A year ago that was 20%. Same crowd uses it constantly themselves.
A separate look at 1.1 million TikToks found the AI-made ones pulled fewer likes and lower engagement.
We manage millions a month in ad spend, and this sent me back through the whole setup for about an afternoon before I landed where I started.
AI runs the machine behind everything we do.
It doesn't write the part you see.
(plenty of the accounts posting about AI slop are running the same stack... they're quieter about it)
#AISlop #AIMarketing #BrandTrust #ContentMarketing #AgencyOwners
Most of the AI slop complaints are aimed at the wrong layer. We run AI through most of ROAS.
One prompt tests more ad variations in an afternoon than our designers used to build by hand in a week, and GoVibey is being built on that same idea.
None of it ever touches a sentence anyone reads.
The machine is good at the invisible half... pulling references, running 40 headlines so you can throw away 39.
What it can't do is sound like you, and that's the only part your audience is grading. (and half the accounts posting about AI slop are running the same tools... they're just quieter about it)
So where does yours stop?
Go read your last five captions out loud.
Whichever line you can't say without wincing is the one the machine wrote.

The real reason people aren't buying from you...
I spend millions a month buying attention for clients.
The one thing I can't buy them is trust.
We launched ROAS with $0 in marketing... I even pulled off social media for the year.
12 months later, 100+ clients. Every one a referral.
That's what a 90% success rate does. It sells for you.
So when a founder says "people aren't buying," I don't look at the offer first.
I look at the reputation.
Attention is a line item.
Trust is the asset.

You already know what to do. That's the annoying part.
I know a guy worth north of $700 million, most of it made in mobile home parks.
Asked him once what his favorite personal development book was, expecting a reading list.
He told me he's read Think and Grow Rich 500 times, and every time it's made him a million dollars.
Five hundred reads of one book, and he's still going.
He wasn't hunting for new information. He was running the same thing over and over until it stopped being something he did and became who he was.
(meanwhile most people will buy a course this month and never finish module two)
So when you open another video about discipline tonight, ask yourself whether you're learning anything or stalling in a way that feels productive.

Your ad campaigns are failing because you’re still marketing like it’s 2018 and expecting top-tier results.
Most founders dump their budget into a single ad creative, send traffic to a plain sales page, and then act shocked when their ROAS collapses.
You think you just need to spend more, but there’s a reason high-level marketers test fifty to a hundred creatives at once without sweating.
When you stop relying on basic interest targeting and start letting your creative filter for your ideal avatar, the algorithm finally works for you.
By stacking interconnected funnels, from webinars to free communities, you give every type of buyer a way to say yes.
Stop copying random ads off the internet, optimize for lifetime value instead of cheap upfront clicks, and build an ecosystem that actually lasts.
