CIVILITY IS NOT WEAKNESS. ENOUGH OF THE HARASSMENT OF MY SUPPORTERS. RELEASE RILWAN OLAWALE NOW.
The continued intimidation and harassment of my supporters across the country, the latest being the case of Rilwan Olawale, is disturbing and unacceptable.
President Bola Tinubu has remained a huge beneficiary of our democracy and should not brazenly be destroying it by encouraging and facilitating violence.
Our campaign is peaceful and issue-driven, focused on offering Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, accountability, justice, and compassion.
We have chosen the path of peace, not violence; persuasion, not intimidation. However, nobody should mistake our civility for weakness, our restraint for fear, or our commitment to peace for an absence of resolve. We will not be intimidated into silence, nor will we abandon Nigerians who believe in a New Nigeria that is possible and will be OK.
I therefore demand transparency regarding Rilwan Olawale’s arrest, his release, respect for his rights, and an end to politically motivated harassment. No government or political party has the right to deny Nigerians the freedom to support a candidate of their choice.
We will remain peaceful but resolute. We will not resort to violence, but we will stand firmly and lawfully against every attempt to undermine our democratic rights.
A New Nigeria is POssible and will be OK. -PO

A young woman reached out to me for support. As we spoke, she sent me her secondary school results. I noticed that she had several distinctions, and almost immediately, something in me was moved.
I thought, This is such a bright young woman. She deserves a chance. I supported her.
Much later, I found myself thinking about that interaction again, and I asked myself a question that made me uncomfortable: What if her results had been average? Would I have been equally moved to support her? If the answer is no, what does that say about the way I sometimes determine who is “deserving” of an opportunity?
I value excellence deeply. I admire people who work hard and do exceptionally well. I also know that excellent performance at one stage of life is not the only evidence of what a person can become.
Some people are average students in secondary school and flourish tremendously at university. Some people struggle academically until they find the environment, field, teacher, support system, or opportunity that allows them to thrive. Some discover their strengths much later. Some people are carrying circumstances we know absolutely nothing about.
So I have been thinking about how easily we are drawn to people who already show obvious signs of promise: the excellent grades, the impressive CV, the awards, the achievements. There is something reassuring about helping someone when the evidence already tells us, This person will probably succeed.
One of the biases we have to keep examining is the belief that people must already have an impressive record before they deserve someone to take a chance on them. Sometimes people do not excel and then receive opportunities.
Sometimes people excel because someone gave them a chance before there was enough evidence that they would.
I think there is something powerful about being the person who can sometimes see beyond what someone has already achieved to what they might become if given the opportunity.

There is an unholy matrimony on X between the neo-supporters of the ADC and APC, united in mischief and misrepresentation, many of whom were formerly self-acclaimed supporters of His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
Our dear brothers and sisters, we do not begrudge you. We understand that, sometimes, economic considerations can overwhelm one’s commitment to the ideals of an egalitarian society.
We see your new found bromance.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn put it aptly: “Evil people always support each other; that is their chief strength.”.
Our motivation, however, is this: when a bunch of known corrupt people unite against one man, spare no effort to ridicule him, blackmail him and assassinate his character, blindly follow that one man.
This is precisely why we will continue to follow His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
With Obi and Kwankwaso, Nigeria will be OK!

Having character like Tinubu at the leadership position is a very big mistake we all must collectively refuse to accept!
He has poisoned and damaged the country by elevating reprobates and morally bankrupts who are ravaging the country.
We must resist them come 2027!

We have a surge of Olodo uprising within the APC, examples given, Adams Oshiomale and Shetima who used to be very sound with statistics 😀
Give it to Idris, the best spokesperson for Mr. PETER OBI

Civic responsibility does not mean unquestioning obedience to authority. It can also mean challenging unfair rules and demanding that public institutions serve everyone fairly.
Think about the difference between saying:
"This is not my property, so I don't care."
And saying:
"This belongs to the public, which means it belongs to all of us."

What changes in the collective psychology of a society that enables ordinary people to build a prosperous, orderly, productive nation and why do other societies remain trapped in patterns that undermine their own development?
